  1. Empire-At-War.com From the same team behind 8 year C&C community veteran, CNCNZ.com, comes Empire-At-War.com. As the name and domain name would suggest we cover everything to do with Petroglyph's exciting RTS game, Star Wars Empire at War. http://img212.imageshack.us/img212/9800/eawcombanner1cq.jpg
  2. I see you guys have been talking about moderators and the number of them in this locked topic. I have no objections to having any mod powers that have been given to me removed. I don't visit these forums enough to warrant having them in the first place. Based on the current size of these forums I think all that is needed is about 2-3 admins who control everything, a team of 5 global mods, and maybe a few mods specific to key forums. I'm just an EAW fan running an EAW fansite who visits PFF from time to time
  3. As this news filters to fan sites more votes will flood in. And this EAW v BFME2 thing (as I posted on E-A-W.com) is just a media made rivalry.
  4. Just as I thought it would the EAW release date for New Zealand has changed from February 9th to February 23rd. Full details here.
  5. Isn't it great to have some devs who actually come and interact with the fans and listen to our constructive comments. Unlike another company.
  6. You mean that admin link? Yeah I have it to.
  7. I'm sure everyone agrees that the cinematic camera is a cool idea however it tends to miss the action which renders it usless. Glad you like the review Delphi
  8. Empire-At-War.com's own review into the demo that everybody wants, and had a lt of trouble getting the other day. Although this review doesn't go into too much depth, it gives a good insight into what you can expect if you are still wondering whether or not to download the 750MB file that has everybody talking. Here's a snippet of that review: Forget the big gaming sites coverage, read a review from gamers point of view. You can read the whole review at http://www.empire-at-war.com/game/demo/review/ To discuss this review: http://pff.swrebellion.com/index.php?topic=1930.0

  11. Nothing wrong phpBB but SMF rocks! It fixes the current problems.
  12. If it solves the current problems then I guess the change should be made.

    We're back!

It logged me out when I went to reply. Haven't had any phpBB errors though. I think it would be a good idea to back up the database, clean out out the current installion of phpBB files and install the very latest from http://www.phpbb.com. Its easy to do.
  14. When the move is made to pff.swrebellion.com will be you looking into a new forum style? subSilver is ok and easy on the easy but it a little boring. If you do maybe allow the fans here to suggest a few styles to add. Maybe some one could design one based on EAW colours? I will glady offer my one based on my sites colours, a sample... http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/56/eawstyle5fk.th.jpg I will or course modifiy the logo
  15. Anyone want to take a guess at how big the download will be? Not that I'm concerned about that, just interested to know.
  16. Thats cool Cain, should plans change you know how to contact me I will do my best to promote these forums on E-A-W.com as much as I can. Especially when the location change happens.
  17. Thanks Cain BTW, give my other suggestion in my previous post some thought if your interested in going in that direction.
  18. What about these suggestions? http://petroff.swrebellion.com http://petro-ff.swrebellion.com http://petroforums.swrebellion.com I was thinking about offering to host these forums on www.empire-at-war.com because something like petro-ff.empire-at-war.com would be cool. The only problem I see is you guys in charge here my not agree to to a few conditions. If someone like Cain wants to contact me to discuss this maybe we can arrange something.
  19. At CNCNZ.com (cross promoted on Empire-At-War.com) we put together an article that is not entirely specific to the Empire at War community, crosses over with the C&C Community, well its for both really. But its well written, hits at EA a bit, EAW V BfME2. I just thought everyone on these fine forums would like to read it. To quote the opening paragraph.... The full article can be found here http://www.cncnz.com/features/articles/090106.shtml (Note to mods: If I posted this in the wrong forum please move it to where ever you think it should be)
  20. As it stands now its a Feb 9th release for NZ. I would expect to change and fall more in line with the US/Europe dates though. Hey Delphi, how its going. Where does the time come from? I take it away from CNCNZ.com, as we all know there is nothing really happening in the C&C community these days.
  21. Hi everyone, I'm Sonic, webmaster and founder of http://www.empire-at-war.com/. I originally opened my own EAW site back in June 2005 and these forums have been a valuable resource for me. I tried signing up a while back but I never got my activation e-mail, got it working now so here I am
  22. I have no idea how many New Zealand EAW fans there here but I have news regarding the release date here. As I posted on Empire-At-War.com....
