  1. at the moment i'm reading the x-wing series on novels again and from the descriptions i have read ofthe space battle scenes proton torpedoes do not pass straight thru shields the are used to batter down the shields with the explosive force of their warheads. once the shields have failed any remaining torps will do damage to the hull. an example i read in the book (granted it EU and not classed as canon) on the outboubnd run from borleias corran horn and a squadron of Y-wings were able to knock out a capital ship. roughly half the torps took down the shields and the rest destroyed the vessel itself thru massive structural damage. i think that makes sense..
  2. Also looking at Vader i also wonder if its Arnold S. in there or Vader. Look at those shoulders ! All troops thend to have them - be muscular I think the Petro 3D guy has an obsesion with this muscle type of body. hehe he must have looked at the new star wars figures, all the character there look like they have bulked up on steroids... compare the original kenner luke skywalker (released around 1980ish to those of us that remember them) figure to the one that was released just after the special eds came out. the new luke figure looked like he was taking dietry hints from Jabba..
  3. thart sounds about right, the UK never seems to get the collectors editions of any games. when WOW went live i tried to get the collectors edition of that (prior to find out how much it was) and not one site of shop i found stocked the collectors edition of the game. just seems unfair that the UK gets overlooked for CE's of games.
  4. i can live with that, the demo will give a time to get used to the interface..
  5. lets hope so, it should go live about the time i get in from work..
  6. amazon UK only seems to have the standard version...grrrrr there's no sign of it from play.com either..
  7. if i can find it in the UK i'll be buying collectors edition.
  8. merlock seems to have summed it up right really i think i as nice as looks it doesnt really seem to fit in with the time period. when you think that later model star destroyers were developed not long after the ven came into service.
  9. *shakes fist at fosh* damn you i havent read the last book yet!!!!!! might be going out to buy it tomorrow then..
  10. nah that was the benny hill them.... very fittying for that movie:P
  11. Did Leia become a Jedi ? ------- Nope, she never had time to devote herself Not in the movies or not in any good EU. But option should be in the game, she was just a force sensitive as luke. true, i think its was refered to that she is just as force sensitive as Luke but due to commitments throughout her life she hasnt been able to commit to full time jedi training at the praxeum on Yavin. but she does eventually commit it it during the Dark nest trilogy under master Saba Sebatyne. opinions of the UE novels does vary i think at least in my eyes the only bad EU novel that i still cannot finish due to poor writing is Plant of twilight and possibly the black fleet crisis. in future expansion packs i would like to see more of the timeline up to at least the Thrown offensive. more heroes as people have said more factions, black sun, smugglers alliance, bounty hunters. but only have certain factions available to certain sides (ie the rebel alliance wouldnt have any dealings with black sun) more ships added
  12. Which EU novel was vergere first mentioned in? what were the names of a the star destroyers under admiral daala's command at the maw installation.
  13. after due consideration.......... i havent got a clue..
  14. OK.. pessimist mode activated...
