  1. I played the demo, like 100 times, and i think its great. I got excited and downloaded all the early mods. unfortunately this gave me some concerns. 1. considering the game is "Empire" at War, shouldn't you have let us choose the imperials as well? 2. hypervelocity seems too strong. I'm not sure it was just because i fast forwarded the game, but its recharge rate was way too fast when its firepower is huge. My whole whole fleet of Mon calamari were getting pwned! And compared that with the ion cannon, its really a no-match. I rather found my self using y-wings to stun ships than to use the cannons. but then again, it is an unofficial mod. 3. death star. well yes, i played it on the most difficult level and came to a point where the imperials got the death star. and i was overwhelmed! how come the defender only gets 30 seconds to defend from it? should it give sometimes to retaliate? or is the only way to destroy the death star by attackking it before it is reached its destination? 4. how come the attacked in a space tactic battle can't retreat? or is this modified. other than these , i give a thumb's up.
  2. if anyone didn't know about it. Venator is in this game as a pirate ship.. hehe that's kinda funny. i say thanks to the devs who actually included the venator even though we can't control it. uhh if u want to see it for urslef, u should go download one of the mods for the demo and see for urself.
  3. check out the new video in the official site! Solo can take multiple shots from the the AT-AT and manage to survive and put it into stasis! And Chewie CAN steal AT-ATs AWESOME

  5. hey hey don't get all angry.. Stellar Magic has a point. previously they mentioned there would be 80 planets, so 40 is way decreased from the initial number, so many people, including me, are somehwat discouraged. althoguh i'm not sure if anyone would ever occupy all of them in a game, but then again that's also strategy, looking for planets that the opponent would never look for.
  6. change these things and put it into EaW and you'll get Star Wars Sim City than another RTS.

As for being a 20 pop cap, it doesn't really bother me. 6 ISD is enough in one map, and from all the screenies that I have seen so far, they are pretty big, and too much would be too croweded in a map. Besides, unless ur computer is pretty good, the rendering might affect the gameplay. The only reason swgb's 200 pop cap worked was because every soldier took up 1 cap, and there weren't any official capital ships, except for the hacked ISD. But then again, what about coruscant, the best defended imperial planet? Just except for that, i'm pretty fine with it. Maybe raise it up a bit, but i say 30 max. But to those who reallly want those huges battles, i have one thing to say to give you hope. THe only hopes are either the devs give the players choice to choose the caps, or the extent of the game as in how much it could be modded.
  8. no.. if the venator (at least in this screeny) isn't on both sides, it doesn't explain why teh imperials would be firing on it. look closley at the laser shots fired. Definitely one of the Venator is not an imperial
  9. venator for both sides? Thats kinda stupid, i mean why can't they just add another ship for the rebels? the deisgn of the Venator doesn't really fit the rebel's style after all.
  10. ok so we know that the limit is 20 and you can continously bring reinforcments. but what about the defenders? Shouldn't they have more than 20? or maybe the defenders can bring reinforcements as well? Or does that mean that your space will eventually fail and the only way to stop is on ground or how many transports u destroyed?

  13. I have a good one. Will we have to replace the existing units when adding new untis(mods), or can we actually add them in the unit list?
  14. bombers in star wars doesn't necessarly mean they drop free-mass objects to damage stuff. It just means that they have enough capacity of firepower to deliver large damage to the enemy. Y-wings and B-wings had large quantities of proton torpedos, and heavy firepower, they didn't often use bombs. besides, it would be kinda awkward dropping bombs in space, since these freefall objects won't be working in zero-gravity .
  15. although many of my favourite ships are not in, i still want to make huge fleet of ISDs and crush the rebels with one sweep strike HAUHAUHAUH Oh yes.. i'll torture every single one of them, blow up every planet !! MUHAHA
  16. How would you build your base in a densely poulated area, such as Coruscant, Corellia, Alderan, etc? Do you have a special room for it or is it mixed with the scenery of the skyscrapers? because "base " is more like a small camp in middle of nowhere. Subrurbs aren't nowhere, so i am curious how this would work. And would enemies land on airbase? It would be more tactical though to drop them in other areas, but i know the landing zones are limited, so that kinda needs some clearance. And about the building sceneries, can they get destroyed between a crossfire? It would be interesting to see the palce or the embassy go bang and collapse.
  17. i would really like to see Rebels taking over Coruscant in the campaign. I know it's doesn't fit storyline, but it would be pretty cool to see the rebels and the imperials fighting to the last men

Gamorr- land of Gammoreans(the green ugly fellaz) Nar Shaddaa- planet from knights of the old republic P.S i wonder why Taris is in, it was blown up way long ago by Darth Malak

  20. And another thing, lets say you build some base. then oyou build the shield generator. What if the base was really big? DO shields have certain coverage areas? Or do they correspond to the size of the structures?
  21. O_O ok that's interesting.. will you ever put those models out to public?
  22. wait, then that demolishes the purpose of shields. all the enemy has to do is go into the shield, and the battle would be exactly the same, just that its close range....
  23. if Petro is actually going for that ideaof putting numerous expansions, i dun really think that such a good idea, because i don't want to spend $100+ worth of money for addition of units and some storylines.. We have modders for that

They'd probably need like 4 expansions to put all the Star Wars ships But then again, with so many ships, your management bar(the thing on the bottom of the screen with maps and stuff) will be so overcrowded I'm not a particualr fan of dreadnaught, but i do think they could have added a bit more variety
  25. some questions about shields. can enemy units go into enemies' shielded base and start shotting? (like when droids entered the gungan shields and start pwning them) and if power generators can only be built outside of the shield, why would anyone want to build it? Finally, can units inside your shield attack the enemy outside of your shield?
