  1. Weather generally only changes movement speed and fogowar in games. I'm not sure if this sort of thing is comparably to the realality of hero's deaths? Why can the game have both weather effects and heros that die?
  2. is there already a team making a reality mod? Seems like speed of battle, verterns, balanced heros and maybe squadron size should be high on the list of things to fix.
  3. my post was a bit unclear. I was less concerned with the lack of verterans and more about the description of the battles. "Fast and Furious" "High % of mortality" "Super Heros" I had always thought of star wars conflict as slow and deliberate. More about retreating when you are beat than suffering high losses. And heros being a great help to their forces, but not central. Maybe its my view of star wasr that is wrong though.
  4. Fast and furious, high number of deaths... sounds more like C&C than Star Wars And I'm concerned about what "dramatic shift" means? I like the star wars units more than the star wars heros. Oh well.
  5. I can't figure out if the diaries are exclussive to empireatwar.net, or if they are sent out to all the sites? And i can't seem to find a dev dairy other than 1. did they only do the one? That isn't really a diary
  6. Don't flame me for being a lost noob But empireatwar.net seems to stopped updating their diary after the first a long time ago. What website can I find the rest of the diaries at? How many are there in total now? and second, I find the "interview" posts down near the bottom. It said somewhere that the answers would be given back to us after a few weeks. But it looks like the decided not to answer the questions after all? Or they just got really delayed? Sorry if these are obvious questions. I'll get caught up on everything as quickly as possible. Thanks
  7. True Ghosly, I'm not much of a mod guy myself. I think expansion packs come out before a good mod is made (Or at least its debugged enough to make worth playing online). This is the problem with mods: If they are to fix a bad game, the main stream people wont stick around long enough to play it and the game reviewers will review the game premod so that the game hype is already out there. Most "good mods" are for games that were very successful standalone, which games still have a ton of active players still once it was ready. No gamers are going to come back to a game that wasn't made well to begin with because a new mod came out making it fun, I think. Who knows though.
  8. True! and unfortunetly my potato gun that i mounted on top of my old republic era waste transport with make quick work of your z95! Which is bad news for the tie scout
  9. Is it common to have two identical threads going at once on the same topic around here? Seems like twice the typing and twice the reading Anyways, as I said in the other thread, my view is that games with only 1 hero or 2, you need to have heros respawn. But in a game where you got like 30 heros you are trying to manage, and you can take them all down to the battlefield at once, they should be able to die if you are careless. Would not be fun if every battle turned into my 15 heros vs your 15 heros and trying to micromanage all those special abilities. Looks like with 15 heros and their 20+ special ability, you could steal/destroy and entire army fairly quickly if heros are as hard to take out as they are in some of the videos. my two cents
  10. Jan, I was thinking the same thing. I'm new to the board and didn't want to say that much and get yelled at for flaming An awing would work a tie scout in combat, from a tech spec standpoint
  11. Id prefer if heros stayed dead since there are so many of them. In RTW, WC3, DOW etc, you only have one hero on the battlefield at once (generally). But this game seems to have a ton of heros. Seems to me the best way to balance out having 30+ heros in the game at once, is to have the ability to loose them if you are not careful. Just my two cents!
