  1. I usually flank them when I attack, or use large numbers of the more elite troops and attack head on and overpower them.
  2. But I wouldn't have a large fleet, and the only was for it to be large is if ships from nearby planets jump to that one planet, along with a garrison of troops in case there is an invasion on the planet.
  3. I would deffinantly sacrifice my ships to help my ground forces leave the entire planet. I might leave a battalion of troops to radio in on whats happening so far after the rest left. But if I have any ships left after the transports full of troops are gone, I'll make them run as well.
  4. There are Imperator l Class Star Destroyers, Victory l Class Star Destroyers, Acclamator Class Transporters, Interdictor Class Cruisers, Nebulon-B Frigates, Corellian CR90 Corvettes, and Corellian Gunships. If there are more, post them here. The link to all Imperial ships http://insd.swcombine.com/insd.htm.
  5. Well, I would make all of my ships focus all their firepower towards them. After that, whatever ships I have left will distract the rest of your fleet while my ground forces retreat from the planet. Sometimes, it's not all about winning, sometimes you have to make sacrifices to defend your people, no matter the cost.
  6. In the same direction that is.
  7. BUT, what if the asteroids went only one direct, like in a circular motion, you could have your ships move at the same speed as the asteroids. But we'll see when it comes out.
  8. After seeing that mod, it made me wan the game even more. Also, I do only have to download it right?
  9. I dont really care if it works either, atleast I can try when the game comes out, and if it works, those who say it wont work have to call themselves n00bs. If it doesnt work, I'll call myself a n00b.
  10. If you did not read all of it, you would know that I was saying to use your smallers ships to take out the incoming asteroids while your larger ships shoot out of the field towards the enemy. And yes, I agree that they would have to come out sometime, but they can always keep going the other way until they come out the other side and then jump into hyperspace.
  11. If you're fighting (insert name here) in space and there is an asteroid field, USE IT TO YOUR ADVANTAGE, ESPESIALLY IF YOU'RE OUTNUMBERED! Well head into the asteroid field and use the asteroids to shield your ships from being blasted to bits if there are larger ships. Even though your ships will take damage from colliding asteroids, they can handle it, depending on their size. You can make half, or any number you want, of the ships protect the other ships by shooting incoming asteroids. The rest will shoot their guns out of the asteroid field towards the enemy ships. After a while, if they have taken loses, they will retreat leaving what ever ships you have left to run away as well, if you want to. Also, use all your single ships(fighters, bombers, etc.) to protect against the enemy fighters. Does anyone think this is a good strategy?
  12. If the Imperial ships are parallel, I would put Home One right beside the ISD to the left so the other ships wont be able to shoot at Home One without risking taking out their own ship. The fighters would keep all the TIE fighter/bombers busy while my bombers help take out the ISD, I'd probably have to send one of the bombers to run into the bridge of the enemy ship when its sheilds are down. Then I'll back away from their firing range to let my shields recharge, and then go behind the ships, taking out their engines. After that, send the bombers to take out the guns on the ships while using the fighters as escorts. I'll then send Home One to take out the Gravity Wells on the interdictor, after that run to the closest Rebel base. So, what do you think of that?
