Stop complaining about stuff in the trailer! You don't know how much damage heros can take or deal now or when the game will be released. Most of all stop complaining about balance. Petro haven't finished tweaking it! Any compaint you make about balence is un-informed pesimism. No one knows how these things balance to the game or how they will when launched.

Heres another example for balance by advantage. Empire has better warships but the Allience's fights are all loaded with anti-cap. ship proton torpedos making an unguarded star destroyer easy killing for a fighter squadron.

Their are several kinds of "clone fighters" I would assume you mean the "ARC-170" but their is also the V-wing and Torrent star fighters. All of which are "clone fighters"

I have played Halo. I enjoy it very much. It is not the best game ofcourse but it has an above avarage story(though you have to read the books). I find it offensive that you just group everyone who plays Halo in that group. Though their are far to many idiots in the fan group. I would prefere if it were a cult love. Sigh) back to EaW.

It is most likly w are dealing with the Acclamator II. It was more heavly armored and considered a true warship. Also I would asume that their barges and dropships make landing on a planet a waste of time.

Just to point out a few things. At this moment we know of three kinds of sheilds. Ray shield-Apsorbs radiation and and raw energy. Lasers and stuff are stopped. Found on most moddern star ships. Particle shield- Stops physical things like concusion weapons. Though only a complete particle shield stops proton torpedos. This along with ray shield forms a deflector shield. It is most likly this weapon that is used to safe guard the second death star. Repulsur lift stoppers

Not really more like similer ships built to fill two different jobs. The Imperator is a powerful ship to ship weapon with enough fighters and bombers to defend the ship andtake out key parts. The Venator however is about the opposite. Most of its intire mass is built to hold massive amounts fighters. Enough to cover other ships intercept enemy and torpedo the hell out of any ship foolish enough to let ARC fighter near it. Along with that it hold a enough weapons to put up a decent fight. That and its speed make it very formatible. The ISD is still better but the Venator is a force to be reconed.

Just to take a guess at the reason I think it simply became outdated. Improvements made the weapons strength lesser compared to the enemy. Though I would venture a guess that it was still used by some fleets during the OT. Sorta like the AT-PT
