  1. I think that Eaw is a much more innovative game then BFME 2, the combat is not as good probaly, but the Stragey in EaW is better. Plus BFME does not have Land and Space battles.
  2. I personaly like online reviews the best, because they get very in depth; so I'm going to wait for IGN, Gamespot, and the other online reviews to come out.

  4. I would also like to see XP involed as well. It made me want to save veteran units and makes the player focus more on tatics.
  5. Wrong on both counts, Victory class Star Destroyers can fly in an atmosphere and a Base Delta Zero is the Imperial Navy protocal to use orbital bomardment to turn a planet into to slag.

  7. I like the hunt ability for the TIE's. They are just a basic starfighter, with no extras, so the uslessness fits with the TIE in the canon.
  8. ISD's and most other Captial ships in SW don't have point defense lasers. Really only Hapes Nova Battle Cruisers, Assault Frigates, Carrack Cruisers, and Neblon-B's have both anti-captail ship firepower and anti-fighter weapons. Larger ships relay on organic starfighter squadrons.
  9. What I like more is that Quanity is a Quality of its own. That said I perfer a Main group of great units to bash in the door and then use lower quality troops and ship in smaller numbers to hold terrotiry. The main Group in total would be less then the enemys quality units, but I would chose battles where I can match numbers in the fleets, because in any one fleet battle my fleet whould equal one of the enemys. Attack the weak spots and force through enmasse. Also the good commander wins before a shot is fired because he knows where to fight and where not to fight.
  10. I agree. Infantry should be more Dawn of War squad like where certian men in the platoon have a certian job to do, be it anti-tank, anti-infantry, or fire support.

  14. Not really. Infanty in real life can not aim well when moving so it is not a problem. They would just be wasting bullets.
  15. I would say that you are right Nevets, They proably will do a Ep III exp. pack. I mean LA is all about marketing.

  17. Beowulf, please stop flaming the EU and those who like it, if you don't like it thats fine, but people have a right to like things you don't. So if you don't stop flaming I will report you to the MODs.
  18. TRD is Trench Run Diseise, or a captial ship dying to Fighters, due to a lack of anti-fighter support.
  19. The game does start at the begining of the Rebel Alliance, which was founded two years prior to the Battle of yavin, by forming the three largest Anti-empire groups into one.

  22. Whats wrong with LoW modding in the Katana fleet. Its part of the star wars univesre, and I douht that its going to be modded to be easy to find. Plus a Drednought in combat is only about half as powerful as a Mon Cal curiser.
  23. Yes, truly. Lucas Arts is terrible inepet at marketing/making computer games. This is someing I have seen sence I became a Star wars fan. The last good game I played was X-wing Alliance. I hope that petro isn't being hindered to much with the game play aspect of the game be lucas arts, because if so, A great game studio will be producing a S*** game instead of a incredable space stratagy game.
  24. The Double Faint I think would work well for the Rebels, as they need all the tactical adavage they can get.
