Okay okay all I have to say is the following, followed by a brief explination: Fucking hell. There. All my frustration out now here it goes..I tried logging on five times, then clicking on one of the forums only for me to get a message of the following "This forum does not exist" of course it exists I was just looking at it for fraks sake. Then everytime I try to post it'll log me off once or twice before I can...what a god damn headache.

I wouldnt say next to, thats being relative, remember this is a galactic map, on the mini map Alderaan is situated in the galactic core with the other planets on the arm of the galaxy. So its more or less far away, it just looks close on the galactic map thats all.

Gamespot has a countdown as of this moment the remaining time until the demo will be ready is 1 day 15 minutes. Which means that around 12pm the game will be ready.

umm unless they changed it, no one will be playing it online since its a single player demo He meant once it becomes a full game.

Its Red Squadron, Rogue Squadron isnt created until sometime after RotJ if I'm not mistaken.

My computer is so far above the recommended specs that the game is going to ship with a white flag because it already surrenders. Of course for those folks who say this game should have better specs, for what? The specs are on the level that we always wanted, they're on the level of what we always dreamed Rebellion could be. Hell the specs are just fine the way they are.

Sure it does, it makes you want more. It leaves you with the possibility that if playing the rebels is that good just think about when you BUY the FULL game and play the imperials as well. Honestly havent any of you worked in retail or marketing before?

Having done the math for it, they're going to release the demo at 10am Eastern Standard Time(thats -5 GMT) for those of you in Europe looking for a reference. I dont work Tuesday-Thursday so I shall have plenty of time.

Like EaW, you have two sides, well three if you want to count the Union of Border Worlds but they werent nearly as big as the Confederation or Kilrathi Empires. Both sides have tons of ships, tons of fighters, tons of bombers. The only real thing the series lacked was ground weapons, except for the scant things shown on the Wing Commander Cartoon series. For anyone that has played a WC: Prophecy they'll know already just how many star systems and how many hundreds of worlds are in the WC universe simply because the damn thing came with a galactic map. Also anyone who's played WCs 1-3 know this war went on technically longer than the Galactic Civil War of SW. The Confederation and Kilrathi fought each other to a stalemate for nearly 4 decades. Unfortunately I'm not a modder, but I'd be willing to learn, and more than likely will have to if there isnt much interest in this project. My field of expertise is really doing research on topics like this. But yea, just tossing this idea out there for anyone with experience who might enjoy the WC universe.

On my old computer, Medal of Honor was stuck on it much like BF2 was stuck on Ghostlys computer, I had to reinstall my WinXp for it to work again. Thankfully I dont have that problem anymore on the new computer. Games that hate me? Well, I'm not having that problem at the moment. Even in Civ 4, and Brothers in Arms. I wont even go into how easy CoD2 is. The only game that really doesnt like me has to be Rome Total War Barbarian Invasion..then again its my fault for playing the Western Empire and trying the best to hold it together.

Alderaan had scant weapons between the Clone Wars and its eventual destruction, Bail Oranga did plan on rearmming though to help fight the Imperials, but he couldnt do so in time to make any real impact. And Princess Leia was known to lie, remember what she said about Dantooine?

Wrong, the rebels had other heavys before NJO, the small Black Fleet Crisis series came out before NJO and detailed a Republic fleet made up of designs for heavy warships not made by Mon Cal. (Republic SD, Defender SD, Majestic Heavy Cruiser, Defender Assault Carrier etc etc). Of course all of that is EU and wont be in the game..well at least until the mods come out that is.

The Z-95 was built for wide spread use. Everyone from planetary militas to private corporations use the Z-95 which means its going to be around for awhile. While the ARC-170 was built for sole military use of the republic, and was going to be phased out more than likely for the X-wing, a heavy starfighter thats more nimble, with nearly the same punch. Think of it this way, even 60 years after WWII, there are still some folks who use PBY Catalina's for actual work purposes, yet try to find one P-47 Thunderbolt for combat operations anywhere in the world.

Its been said before but it can be said again, KOTOR 2 was one of the most rushed games LEC has ever had the misfortunte of putting out. The HK factory was still in the game, there were even references to it, but nothing came about of it. The main reason anyone knows about it is because the folks who made the game ended up complaining over how LEC handled things with the production of KOTOR 2, a game which could have used at least 4-5 months of more development and 2-3 months of ironing out. LEC smelled money in the water after KOTOR was a success and rushed it to fast to the table. As for EaW, no one knows whats going on behind the scenes. If Petro is having problems with LEC, then it isnt showing(yet). Games can change slightly before going Gold..but when they do expect things to be rushed. If many more changes are made you'll definately be able to tell(like a mission you hear about in game, but can never really quite reach..). Typically though the Gold period of a game is devoted to production, and searching for bugs in the finished product as well as last minute manuvering and hammering out of code.

Hmm you have a varied amount of options sure, but you leave out a few. Such as even the original trilogy went downhill because of Lucas. The first two movies were the best and then came Return of the Jedi. Ewoks anyone? Lucas went from Wookies to Ewoks to make a quick buck marketing wise(heck it spawned two Ewok movies). Frankly the prequels up to Episode 3, which itself was only slightly redeming(we never did see a Victory SD..even though VSDs should be the prevailant class before the ISDs show up) were complete let downs. Lucas and his need for teen angst and horrible crappy romantic subplots, completely took away from the story. Han and Leia were no where near as tacky as Anakin and Amidala. Watching Episode I also felt like watching a sci-fi version of Baby Geniuses..I mean Obi-Wan Kenobi says he fought with Anakin during the war, and here comes Anakin as a six year old?...Lucas sold out this franchise long ago.And then he pissed on it when he said there wouldnt be another three movies after the sequel..frankly all I can say is good. Lucas would end up messing up everything further and stepping on the toes of a lot of good EU literature.

Again, look up the game Spore and what it allows you to do You could make whatever race from SW you wanted.

For this you could just wait a full year until Spore comes out. Where you advance an entire species from one cell to an entire galactic empire spawning civilization of hundreds of worlds.
