  6. Sorry, Fun-We, but I have to answer just this once. JediIgor: I haven't played "Shadows of the Empire" recently. I sold my Nintendo64 years ago, because game technology has moved on since then. I have now a PlayStation2, and to argue my side of this debate I'm going to use "James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing", a game where the player has complete control over James Bond for every single moment and yet still enjoys many different types of gameplay: running and shooting, sneaking, driving an armoured SUV, riding a motorbike, flying a helicopter, shooting from a moving tank and walking up and down walls with a rappelling chord. That's more than "Shadows of the Empire"... but, hang on, games like that end up crap, do they? Then why has "James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing" been recognised as possibly the most successful James Bond game to date? Why did it top the charts for almost two months? Why is the new James Bond game, "From Russia With Love" in exactly the same format? New technology means more can be fitted into games than ever before, and using a Nintendo64 game from whey-back-when to argue your point here, in 2005, on the eve of the PlayStation3 and Next Next Generation console war, falls flat, I'm sorry to say. Games like this are more diverse, more entertaining, require more skill to play and still allow complete control of the character. Thanks Fun-We. I'm sorry about making a mess: from now on, only discuss Fun-We's excellent game idea! NEVER! GOLDENEYE WILL ALWAYS BE THE BEST!!! now on to what i am getting to. fun we you never said how it would end for the player if he stayed a sith and then the jedi purge happened, could you play a part in this purging? maybe kill yoda?
  7. they look....a little shady...lets not buy any games they sell upcoming feburary....
  8. 1. jimmy youre going to get a GREAT xmas present this year! is it a xbox 360? nope, its 5 years in jail! lol happy holidays tyke! 2. uum i am at a loss for words 3.HAHAHAHAHAAHA this is the best thing ever! perfect case of doomed publicity, rockstar is blaming hackers for the mod, which is probably true bbut there credibility plunges when the same thing is found on ps2. i think they shouldnt have changed the rating, just do what tire companies do. take back all the games that are given/not purchased and rework them so the scene cannot even happen.and then give/make the nwew copies and make big $$$
  9. oh so you were only going to go that far..ii see. i thought that after you would kill all the main charachters, thgings would go on in the series but in a diffrent storyline, like yoda with the death of all those jedi/royalty he turns to the dark side or gets corrupted by sidious. now that would be cool!
  10. uum, AOE 2 w exspansion/battlegrounds if you REALLY want the star wars, same package anyways. well what i am doing really is just opening up to a flexible strategy. usually in these games i just amass and conquer but prolly wont work for this =( and a way i do it(i dont have the latest/greatest RTs right now) but i do play strategic board games with friends like risk, monopoly, etc. also any of the C&C games would be good!
  11. also if it is GTA like, and also like fable, there are 2 things needed. 1. every plaACE(PLANET) YOU GO TO HAS to be pretty much open, and non linear, you could go from a to b and then c to g 2. every actin good or bad,has qn impact on your charachter, most noticeaby i think in thier force powers, good you can heal, protect, etc. and if your doin bad stiuff hen usually dark poers, or you can strike a balance of the 2. and finally, in a game like this or any star warsy kind, there has to be space combat! dogfighting woot!
  12. but the one thing that is bad about it is plot, what if i wanted to be darth maul and kill ben kenobi, anakin, qui gonn, and amidala? tat elimuinates the whole series, how are you going to create alternate plots? if you got that down i got no problem.
  13. damn, i have been in hawaii for a month, and i still need to read my 2 new GI when i get hiome!!! luckily i go back 2day ^^
  14. how out this plot? you are the empires officer/trooper, graduating at thier "westpoint' as you climb the ranks you must goin your tie fighter periodically when the empire needs you most, like in big big battles, then at one oint the rebels attack your ship, then you can coose to jump ship to the rebels, escape in your own ship, or fight for the empire. due to the empires vast resources, you can hop onto the varied imperial hips, each with thier diffrent crew, weapons, and routes, until you command one of these fine vessels. one day, with enough credentials and rank, you might be able to operate on the deathstar! if you are rebels, you conduct many hit and run missions on the ships that rebels have (dont no many, sorry) and if you go neutral, you can recriuit others to your side, smuggle goods, or become a bounty hunter, assassinating other up and coming commanders on the rebel/imperial ships. with the addition of escape pods so you can always escape a doomed ship. some jobs would be gunner, cook, tactician, navigtor, pilot, or commander. if you are rebel/empire you can ferry the sith/jedi on some missions, but be on guard against the ith, disobey an order and its over. if youre a neutral, you can also hire/ferry/team up with classic mugglers/bounty hunters or crimelords
  15. dude, i love the pic! o ya.. on topic ohhkay.... mmm best time in a game well my friend landed on my railroads 4 times in a row in monopoly hmm star wars rogue squadron funnest times taking out ties in x wing, always good fun

  18. yea dont want to have another Axis and allies scenario. how is it that 1 ifantry can take out a bomber, fighter, and 3 tanks? its happened to me b4 and it sucks....

  24. halo best moment my freind and i both have rocket launchers and we both launch em at the same time lololol Battlefront worst moment pursuing some seperatist forces and turn around the corner. what used to be a 1 on 4 turned a 1 on 15, i have never seen someone die so quickly james bond goldeneye (N64) stupidest moment triggering an alarm wit all guns and shootin ppl with RCP 90 and dieing becuase of shooting dead ppl b4 they have fallen to try to get to thier comrades, stupid shields..laer realizing i could have blown throughthem with my magnum
