  3. I think they should add new units and a clone champaign for the EaW expension... it would be enough, but for EaW2... I dunno...

  5. EAW is much different than close combat 3. In EAW there is a mass combat, galaxy management and so, you are a grand admiral, not a field captain, or a commando, you have to oversee production and such, not wasting time with sniping or point shoots with missiles. Apart from this, I totaly agree with Cain, it would be a nice discussion...

  7. As far as I know, there is no ship in this configuration... there was a star destroyer which consists of 2 star destroyers merged together, but not like this....

  12. convoys in deep space? so you mean cargo ships DONT have hyperdrives?well, then they have to travel for years or centuries to go from one place to another, right?
  13. some one asked how this would be exploied? here: I am playing with the rebels, and build only corellian corvettes, which are much cheaper and build faster then ISD, then send them to ram ISD... imps dont have a change to win... I am playing imps, and rebels a massed a huge fleet, I am sending only carrack light cruisers to ram the mon calamary cruisers, then send the ISDs and TIEs to finish the job... rebels have no chance to win... Am I clear? ramming in a strateji game is rediculous! meaningless, you can self destruct, but ramming should not be in the game
  14. well, this option should not be in the game, it could be easily exploited and the game balance would be severely lost...
  15. does it show that yellow planets have fleets? as far as I remember, there are yellow dots, but thats all... dots represent faction and that there is a system there, not fleets. there are many red dots but that doesnt mean rebels have fleets in every planet. have you played the rebellion? it uses the same system, there, red rebel green imperial blue neutral grey unexplored
  16. red = rebel blue = imperial yellow = neutral grey = uncharted territories, outer rim territories, unvisited planets or such...
  17. have you wachted stargate? blue explosions are very nice and add a very beatiful mood to the game...
  18. I am also a rebellion fan, and I frequently play it after wacthing all those EAW movies or such. by the way I have a question: Joshinator, where did you get the avatar of yours?
  19. one thing confuses me the game starts 2 years before the battle of yavin so the imperial capital ships available are: Acculamator, Venator, Victory and ISD. The Acc is a transport vessel, but since the transports are considered putside the capital ships I think they will be used as combat vessels. Venator are mainly carriers that can carry large amounts of fighters into battlefield. Yet again, I believe they will be (even if used) used as combat vessels. Victory are produced for planetary bombardment in mind, however it seems we can only conduct orbital bombardment via TIE Bombers, so Victory classes will also be used as combat vessels. However, as everyone would acknowledge, the allmighty ISD is far more powerfull than any of these. So why build the others, if we can build the ISD? the answer should be that the other craft have some special abilities, which can be used in Star Wars Rebellion, and that they are cost effective. Now, I really wonder petroglyphs solution for this... Any one can enlighten me?

  21. hello there... I would like to add one more thing... How many of you can forget Red Alert or C&C? what makes them so different? one of these aspects is that they have cutscenes, movies between missions. Well, we have Darth Vader and the Emperor where C&C has Caine, a better replacement for bad guy I suppose I would very much like to see cutscenes in the game... I also agree with Caine in his ideas, except that we must keep in mind that this is a game, and it is a Star Wars game, so it has fictional parts in it, and, for example, the explosions may not be that much realistic...
