Hi guys, my name is Yabby and I first played Rebellion back in 1998 when a mate picked up a copy and introduced me to it. We played two LAN games back then, but with the length of a game this became impractical as our lives got busier. By the time broadband made internet play possible a few years ago, I found firewall issues prevented internet play. I'm not sure what prompted me to google it this site the other night, but I was surprised when I found an active online community 10 years after the original release! Like many of you, I was really disappointed with EAW (pretty graphics but lack of strategic depth) and am really happy to find out that you guys have found a work around for players behind a router. I look forward to getting a chance to play against an intelligent opponent (the game is too easy to win against the AI) and re-visiting this classic title which I still believe is vastly underrated and still one of the best grand strategy games ever released. I did notice one or two other members are from down under, who knows maybe we can even arrange a game sometime!
