  1. This is true, and I would consult the manuel, except at present, I don't own the game . I will endeavor to find out more on though.
  2. It's just like the title says - I don't have a clue about Rebellion, what it's about, or how to play. Can anyone fill me in? Here's what I know: you conquer star systems...LOL!!! That's all I know. How do you conquer systems? How does combat occur? Do you take command of specific ships? Or do you command entire fleets? I'm not even sure if that makes a lick of sense.
  3. That looks great. I haven't had much sucess hardpointing that ship yet. I've been able to mess with the number of torpedoes and how powerful they are, but thats the extent of my luck - for the moment. When you feel like your ready to send me the ship, let me know!
  4. Bah, sorry about the absince. You did you get it to work? Anyway, I've been learning how to hardpoint. I have been able to add torpedoes to a hardpointless Galaxy class, but I can't get it to fire from the right place. The Acclamator class that is going into the project is almost complete. The model is almost done, and it is going to be textured soon. I just got a new dog, and she's been keeping me busy. I'm going to work on getting various sounds into the game. I am also going to work on getting those damn torpedoes to fire from the right place. LOL! Skyblazer, could you send me the model that you got in game?
  5. Alrighty, tell me exactly what the problem is, what steps you took to install it, and anything else that might be relevant, and I'll see what I can do.
  6. I honestly don't know what to tell ya. You'd have more luck posting the problem at the BC site (I know how you hate posting).
  7. Ah. I honestly don't know. Can you go from the bridge view to the view to where you can see the ship from the outside? Well, first of all, does the menu where you pick your ship even register that you can pick the ship?
  8. You NEED to download the patch. Once you've done that, start the game, and before you go to quick battle, you need to go to configure. From there, you need to goto mutators. Make sure they are ALL turned on. There should be a mutator that says extra ships (or something like it). Once that's turned on, you should be able to get it in game no-problem.
  9. Putting hardpoints on is easy - but, like you said, getting them to fire from the right place is hard. Search for a tutorial on how to hardpoint on the the BC site - I'll do the same.
  10. Here's a tutorial on how to get ships into the game: http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~bridgecommander/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=16908&highlight=
  11. You might want to contact SkyBlazer. He seems to have had sucess getting ships into BC. He has an MSN account if that helps.
  12. Well, from what I understand, you need to change the file into a .pyc file. However, the ship needs things like shields, weapons, engines, and engine glows. For that, you need to hardpoint it. For that, you need to download this (Model Property Editor *MPE*, otherwise known ask SDK): http://bridgecommander.filefront.com/file/Bridge_Commander_SDK;2455 The above program is hard to get working because of a lack of instructions, so you'll need this to get it working: http://bridgecommander.filefront.com/file/Model_Property_Editor_Tutorial;19519 The tutorial is good, and you shouldn't have too much trouble getting it to work. You can import the Trade Federation Battleship into MPE, and hardpoint it from there. If you need any more help (you probably will, because I'm not too knowledgable about how to get it into game), just post it up at the BC site in the correct forum.
  13. Sorry about that, I've been having a hard time keeping track of all the threads on both forums. Yes, I do have MSN. My hotmail account is rustyathlete579@hotmail.com.
  14. That sounds great too. If you can get a great model of the Venator class, and General Grevious' ship, I'd be greatful!
  15. I'd like to have your model! After the model gets into 3Ds, it's not too hard to get it into BC. If you have a model, we'd love to use it (and give you all the credit of course ).
  16. Your more than welcome to join the team. Mad78 is doing the Trade Federation Battleship, and possibly a few other ships. BUT, there are still a bunch of other models you can do if you'd like I'm trying to get on MSN, but I continously get a service cannot be reached error - which is strange because I can get on the Internet. Sure, I'll create a forum here for your project. Have a name yet? Or shall we just do Bridge Commander Mod for now? Awesome. How does the name, "Bridge Commander: The Clone Wars", sound? It's not great, but it's a start. As for what ships are going to be in game, here's a rough and expanding list: Sepratist Fleet *Trade Federation Battleship *Trade Federation Cruiser (Grevious ship). *Commerce Guild Support Ship (http://www.starwars.com/databank/starship/commerceguilddestroyer/index.html) *Driod Starfighter *Driod Tri-Fighter Clone Fleet *Venator Class Star Destroyer *Acclamator Class *ARC-170 *Jedi Starfighter I was thinking about adding Episode IV-VI ships. Then, we could not only have ships from the clone wars, but ships from the era of the Empire. If we did that, we'd add the following on top of the above: Rebell Fleet *Mon Calamari ships including: MC-80 series (all variants), MC-90, and Home One. *Tantive IV *Nebulon B *X-wing *A-wing *Y-wing *B-wing *Millenium Falcon Empirical Fleet *Victory 1 Class Star Destroyer *Super Star Destroyer *Tie-Fighter *Tie-Bomber *Tie-Interceptor I, and others, think it would be pretty cool to have the option to play out the clone wars, the Rebellion, or even the Clone Wars era vs the Rebellion era. I know it's a big list, but it's going to be a great mod when it's done. Mods from Bridge Commander get anywhere between 2,500-12,500 downloads - this depends on how cool the mods are, of course. I'd like this mod to be one of the ones that gets 12,500 downloads. Thanks for taking the time to read this post.
  17. Thanks indeed! I'll try to contact him later today.
  18. Don't suppose you want a place here for your mod then? Or perhaps when you get a first release ready. This server is fast In all honesty, I wouldn't mind it at all .
  19. First of all, I'd like to personally invite you Mad78 to join my team. I saw your work on that Trade Federation Battleship and I was amazed. 1) I'm not sure what the max poly count is, but you can go here (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~bridgecommander/phpBB/) and check it out: I'm warning you, the site is on a slow server. I know ships have been done at around 1000 polys, but other than that, I can't really tell ya. I've tried to model my own ships, but I'm REALLY bad at it. My computer can handle 25 ships in game at full detail and with an integreated video card with no problem (Athlon x2 3800). 2) I'd like to use the ships from the Clone Wars mod for Homeworld 2 (and your Trade Federation Battleship ), but I don't have permission yet. I wasn't even sure if it was possible to move them from one game to another until just a few days ago, LOL! I should add a little about how the mod will play: The mod won't allow for 100+ ships like Warlords does, and the game isn't an RTS. In the game, you take control of 1 ship (fighter or capital ship) instead of commanding a fleet. However, the game does allow you to order your fleet or individual ships to do various things: attack my target, defend me, etc. I believe the game only allows 25 ships in game at one time, which isn't too many. So you kinda have to decide between capital vs capital battle, or a fighter vs fighter battle. BUT, I'm looking into ways to disable that feature (I'm told it isn't hard). Unlike Warlords, you can't build ships, but you can travel to 50+ systems in the middle of a game, and if it's pre-programmed, you can make it so that there are a set number/type of ships in a specific system so that when you win a battle in system A, you can make the hyperspace jump to system B and there will be a new fleet to conquer. It's kinda cool. The Bridge Commander modding community is huge. Each week about 20 mods are added (you can find this massive database here: http://bridgecommander.filefront.com/). There have been starwars mods done before, but they are old and 99% of the time, the models are TERRIBLY done, and there are NO Clone Wars Ships.
  20. I was wondering (actually hoping) I could take a few of the ships from the Clone Wars mod (for Homeworld 2) and import them into 3Ds Max. The ship models are ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL, and you can't find them anywhere else on the net. I've considered importing them from Battlefront 2, but they look horrible. Any help any of you could give me would be great. Also, do you guys know who created those models so I can get in touch with them? I want to get their permission first...
  21. That would be great! I've tried to model myself with 3Ds myself, and...well...it REALLY sucks! LOL! I'll see if I can contact you later! Thank you!
  22. I could REALLY use a Trade Federation Battleship model that I can import into 3Ds. With your permission, I'd like to use the model so I can add my own colors, and personal banner to the ship. I REALLY want this ship, and if anyone can help me out, that would be great. Thanks.
  23. Thanks. I didn't design it, but it is beautiful. There was a Star Wars Bridge Commander project done awhile ago, but it doesn't include any of the ships we're trying to create. I will send Eville Jedi a message, and see if I can get permission to use one or two of his models.
  24. Greetings fellow Star Wars fans. I'm doing a total converion for another game - Star Trek Bridge Commander. It's not an RTS like this game, so it plays a little differently. I am looking for ship modelers - in particular, people who can model a Trade Federation Cruiser (General Grevious' ship), the Trade Federation Battleship, the ARC-170, the Jedi Starfighter, and a few driod fighters. I'm looking into adding a few other ships too, but at this time, I don't know exactly what they will be. Right now, the staff is only 3 people (and a possible 4th). I'd love to have more people, and I'd REALLY love to have the guys who modeled the ships for this game! I'm a die-hard fan of War Lords, but for whatever reason, the AI in clone wars (0.8v I think) doesn't seem to work. If your interested in doing some modeling, let me know! You can let me know either on this site, or via my e-mail address (paultwocrow@aol.com). Here's a link the the Venator class Star Destroy that will be in the game (she's a beautiful ship), and if you scroll down to about the middle of the page, you can see the ship actually in-game: http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~bridgecommander/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=20758 If I can get permission from the authors of the ships in this game, I'd like to try to import them into 3D max, and then import them into the game (after some hard-pointing) to see how they work. Thanks for taking the time to read this lengthy post. Oh, and if you can help me get in touch with the creator(s) of some of the models in SW: Rebellion, that would be awesome. Thanks.
