  1. I've noticed that people have been able to edit some units' and planets' encyclopedia explanations. What XML file/s are they located in?
  2. No, that's not true at all. 0 There is a 0% increase in bombing run recharge time per every extra Star Destroyer/Y-Wing you have in orbit. In other words, having extra bombers in orbit has no effect. Sorry! ;D
  3. I'd like to mod this ability... DEPLOY_TROOPERS 20 Veers_Deployed_Imperial_Stormtrooper_Squad 2 B_Trooper_00, B_Trooper_01, B_Trooper_02 Unit_Deploy_AT_AT ...in order to make it so that you can only deploy those 2 Stormtrooper companies once per battle. I can't find anything here, so am I missing something? What must I do?
  4. I know that Legacy of War is doing some work with the AI, particularly when it comes to fleet compositions. Yeah, the Rebels do get a little Corvette-happy, don't they.
  5. Heh...I knew something was fishy when LucasArts looked like it was trying to finish an uncompleted game.
  6. New maps and a few token units that should have been there in the first release. As if they stand a chance against Legacy of War... Edit: Ach, I try not to be so cynical. But really, how are they going to successfully implement the Executor? The space maps are abysmally small! You can't have a fleet of regular ISDs without the enemy coming into firing range the second you exit from hyperspace, let alone one ship that's supposed to be 11 times the size of them. :-\ So unless they're planning to be real radical and drastically increase the size of every space map (which I highly doubt), they're probably going to do a really lame scaling job. Either the SSD will be twice the size of an Imperator, or they'll downscale everything to make the SSD look big by comparison...which will make TIE Fighters close to unselectable. Joy.
  7. How would I mod it so that when a smuggler is taking credits from a planet, the enemy can't see the obvious credit-stealing sign next to the planet? I'd like the enemy to have to look around and have to keep investigating his economy in order to find my smugglers.
  8. The standard way to remove the fog of war is obviously to increase unit sight range. However, I'm also trying to add unit stealth. And you obviously can't have that when every unit's sight range is 5000+. : Is there another way to remove the fog of war in all cases? Thanks.
  9. That's what I meant: campaign_singleplayer.xml works just fine, but I'm having problems with campaign_main.xml because the Imperial section is incomplete. And like I said, I'm also looking for a way to do away with the fog of war that doesn't involve increasing units' sight ranges.
  10. Thanks, that helped. I can find everything I was looking for, in terms of cantinas and such for Galactic Conquest. Unfortunately, I'm not having so much luck with the main campaign. In campaigns_main.xml, I can find the Rebel planets just fine, but I find nothing under the Imperial section. The Imperial section just looks incomplete. I can't do anything with it, let alone change which planets can build cantinas or hutt palaces. As for fog of war on particular planets (or all planets, for that matter), I'm still pretty clueless.
  11. I've got a couple questions: 1. I know that Hutt Palaces and Cantinas are particular to only a few planets (Nal Hutta, Tatooine, etc), but in specialstructures.xml, it says nothing under "planetary requirements." Where would I have to change it to make Hutt Palaces and Cantinas buildable on say, Dantooine? 2. How do I remove the fog of war for a particular planet's space map and ground map? I know for example that the Imperial campaign has a ground Thyferra map with no fog of war. I've looked in planets.xml and I'm not sure if anything does it.
  12. I think what all the smart, devoted people are crying about (I sure am) is the lack of a diplomacy system. And by diplomacy, I don't simply mean swaying planets to your cause by means of a diplomat. I mean an actual system of popular support, where your actions across the galaxy have ramifications that you must account for. Blowing up a planet with the Death Star should either increase your planets' loyalty to you (out of fear), increase loyalty to the Rebellion on your or other planets (due to well...the monstrosity of your actions), or perhaps both in a limited way. Invading a planet and destroying all of the civilian buildings should make that planet even more loathe to support you, and perhaps even negatively influence nearby systems. Stuff like that! Have some depth, God forbid! It would make this game more than a mindless BFME equivalent where you land grab, rush your opponent, and somehow keep ressurecting your immortal heroes. :-\
  13. Throw them to the Rancors. >
  14. http://legacy.gamemod.net/index.php ???
  15. Do you mind if I quote you on Legacy of War, Teradyn? Because I've been thinking a very similar thing, myself about fighters.
