  1. i agree storm but my thing is when i play on a small map i dont want my destroyers engaging, sometimes i like to let the enemy come to me. i also dont like that if one ship gets shot at, my entire fleet moves to destroy that one fighter squad or corvette either.

  3. ok played as the rebels last night and i found a few problems the first one is, i played as the rebels and i discovered they were able to build imperial star destroyers, did they have those at their dissposal or is this an error? the second thing i found is that if you command a ship to "STOP" and then use "low Tactics" (i think its called evasive to where the ship wont attack even if it is attacked) the ship engages anyway, im not sure if thats what its supposed to do or not but also i did what you asked and did not use resource enjectors and the game works fine. oh also lastly has the computer AI been fixed cause rebels, imperials, and vong dont really build destroyer and cruiser ship yards when i play they just build corvettes and fighters. i dont know what settings you have the militia at but i would like the other races to have the same tactics, the militia builds quickly and attacks with everything they have at their desposal. well just something i discoverd and hope to get some feed back
  4. well thrawn its just faster to have resource injections in my opinon, it just makes the game go faster. its not like im trying to find a new cheat or anything, ru injection is not a bad thing (especially since i only play 2 players maps where its just my camp and the computers camp that have resources) to have or it wouldnt be in the game to begin with!! but i understand Evil i havent tried it again to test out not having injections but ill try it sometime this week if i have the time but thanks for the reply and again great mod.
  5. i have to agree with darth tater on what he says cause i am having the same issues. there is a bug in the building part where you build a ship and you have to click it off in order to build something else but when you turn the ship off it removes all your RU's. another thing is the vong with only 3 ships i never tried out the ships yet cause i think the computer was having the same problem as i was with the bug with building ships, and they would just sit there. thank you for the time to create this mod i love it and keep up the great work Evil

  7. i hear what ur saying evil, but being a b5 fan i woul dhave to disagree with a minor opinon. You are right in saying the b5 ship shave no shilds this is true but when u watch the show the mear dmg output of some of their most powerful races i.e. the shadows, vorlons, minbari. they put out a alot of dmg and besides the shadows can phase into HS and also have a invinsible cloaking device. The earthforce ships would be easily made into toast. Maybe there could be a fix to that problem? well i dont know but i think some of the races in b5 could hold their own against SW or ST. But in my Opinon i dont think ST could match the power of any b5 race. thats my opinion but maybe im wrong. it would be really cool to see all three in a mod and fight against each other.
  8. well im not looking for a debate but im sure ill get one so here goes, My friend who is a big trekkie fanatic tried this mob out adn is amazed at the game play and how fun the game is. After i beat the crap out of him (he never played the game before) we started talking about star wars abd star trek. Being how im a B5 fan we started discussing about whos got the better ships; B5, star wars, or star trek. Well, thinking about this i of course answered B5 but i do love star wars second. So, to better help this age old debate i wonder if there were any trek guys and B5 guys who also built a mod for homeworld for those 2 TV shows and built ships according to specs and we can really see once and for all how the different races would fare against each other. Im not saying its gonna happen but who knows i would like to see it happen. what do the rest of you guys think?
  9. Cool thanks. i like the idea of having more then 2 races, all other star wars games only have either imps or rebels, to me thats boring. Having different units is a great idea. Im not that familiar with what the hell the vongs are but im sure they will be a great addition to the mix.
  10. thanks and yes. i did deleted HW2 and the mod then reinstalled. i now have the bulwark and avenger as playable. the only trade off now is that when i play the game it a lot more laggy. i have everything switched to either low or off. but i guess i just cant win, either have avenger and bulwark and run smooth or have those ships and be laggy. it seems if i play with more the one AI on a map larger then 2player in game this happens all the time now that i reinstalled. its ok im content hopefully i can figure something out =(
  11. i found the missing ship files in the directory, in the tie avenger file i have a .HOD file do i delete thie file because when i look at all the other file they dont have the .hod file
  12. dont worry storm im not embarrased, the only way i know is if i ask. I did download patch 2 and i cant research them or build them, i cant seem to be able to build tie avengers either, i think im missing some files or something.
  13. you are right i experimented today with tthis, i kept sending in one squad of e-wings after another, when one squad gets destroyed id send another squad and so forth and so on

  15. this may or may not be the right place for this but here goes anyway. last night i played as the rebels (i was that bored) and i wanted to play agaisnt the imps and see if i could take out a SSD with minimal amount of ships. I was takin on 2 AI imps and i waited a good 30min, after which i sent a ferret and scanned both AI's. i saw both of them not building anything. i thought this was very odd so i restated the game again. second time i waited 30min then sent a ferret and seen the imps doing the same thing. i then decided that the imps needed a little encouragement so i sent 1 squad of e-wings to harras their resource collectors thinkin this would get the imps to wake up and pretect them but no affect. i then sent on MC liberty into both bases and opened fire. after which the computer built 1 allegience and 1 dominator. i destroyed both with 10 squads of y/b wings thinking the imps would build fighters for my e-wings to play with but it didnt work same results happened with the other AI. is there anyone who can help me figure this out or find a solution the the imps laziness? the rebels will fight and dewfend themselves but the imps wont.
  16. in the emprires fighter list i noticed that the tie advanced (avenger) was not listed or in construction. i know you want to create ship that were in masss priduction, but the avengers were in mass production before the tie defenders. Im not talking about vader tie advenced, im talking about the other tie advanced. so are they gonna be in the game or are they not included for a reason? if anything could we swap ties, i would rather take out the tie raptor and put in the avenger, givein the imps another shield fighter.
  17. i hear what your saying but i will always play the imps i hate playing the good guys. what im saying is if i do build one i basically have nuthing to worry about. i dont think damaging the turrets is a good idea because its too much multitasking when ur trying to comtrol an entire fleets battle. maybe if a ship takes a certain amount of damge it reduces the number of turrents can fire?
  18. i have a small opinon, i think the rebels and empire have a minor imbalance. what im refereing to is the super battle cruier issue. is there anything in the rebels arsenal that can take down a SSD? or a VSSD? again its my opinon that once an imp player creates one of theses cruiser the game is pretty much over. all u have to do is plant that monster in the enemy base and thats it. if u want to be mean u could bring a few escorts along with it like a few alligence SD. maybe im just over looking something but if anyone can clarify something let me know

  20. i have a small issue, i see on the ship list that the stident star defender is available for construction in game, when i play as the rebels i cant seem to see the ship to build. is this a bug or is it going to be implemented in the next patch? or is there something else i need to do.
  21. well getting rid of them would be cool, but i like playing different races or maybe giving them different tactics or something, i dont know about everyone else but playing the same race over and over gets boring, the more different races the better the practice i think. i was just saying that vaygar and hiig were very different in the way they play and plus i never really played the game i just played one game and made a comment, but now that i got the hang of it its not so bad after all. i can build cap ships pretty quick, not as quick as hiig and vayger but faster then i could. is there a detailed ship build component list so i know what to build for each ship so i can build faster instead of researching everything ?
  22. i am having a few problems, my problems are not in the actual game but in the loading of the game. when i start a new game and when it loads up, the game freezes. i thought that maybe it just took that long to load so i i went out, just to test it. i came back for about an hour and it was still loading, is there anyway to get this to stop?
  23. i downloaded the mod today and i loved the models. i the detail is more then perfect i never seen a game that looked this good. the corellian gunboats are awesome. though these details are good there are some flaws in the game. #1 i played against a vygar an di noticed it takes me 5 times as long to get a cap ship that could take a vygar heavy cruiser, by the time i pull out one destroyer the computer has atleast 3. is there anyway the build time ot components needed to build our big ships be shortened? one advantage i saw was the fighters for the reb/imp with out a doubt out class the hiigarin and vaygar, not only that but those two i think dont seem to know how to fight these fighters. is there anyway that could be fixed as well? i am in no way complaining like i said i love the mod but if i play my fiend online and he chooses hiigarin or vaygear i would like to be able to be on equal ground.
  24. hello thank you for the mod. i have a little problem, i installed the mod and now the game seems very slow and laggy. i have all the options to the lowest level; either low or off. after doing this its still very slow. anyone have any recommendations on how to fix this problem? or is this just a memory issue? i have 512ram with a 7500c graphics card on my laptop. i never had this prob before. please help u are my only hope
