  1. IC as Jon "Very well sir, I'll go see him right away.... Ok, I'll bring Tara and a squad... Yes sir, thank you sir." He hung up the call and immediatly walked out. "Tara, get saddled up for a ground op... Seargent, have you and second squad meet us outside in 5 minutes. 3 in civ gear, 5 in normal gear..." "Sir!" He snapped to it, speaking into his comlink as he jogged away. "Whats up?" asked Tara. "Dunno... We're going to meet the president for a 'special meeting' and we are supposed to come along armed." He shrugged and went to grab his own gear. They arrived at the presidents door 15 minutes later. The soldiers had to wait outside but he and Tara would go in. The secratary buzzed them through. "You called for us sir?" Head Councillor Iodit glanced up. "Ah yes, the mercanaries. Come along, we're leaving. You have the equipment I asked for?" Jon nodded. "Very good. Outside." They walked back out of the security... Jon didn't know what was going on but it was weird. "Jon, your in the back with me. Tara, your driving. Your soldiers will take the truck you came in." Jon nodded as he got into the car. "Scan it please Jon. Tara, get us moving." Tara nodded and the car lurched into motion. Jon brought out a small device and played with it for a bit. "Got one." He reached over Iodit and plucked a tiny invisible device off the siding, then threw it out. "Clean sir. 99.34% likely." Iodit frowned but said nothing. "ok... heres how it goes. Your men are up on the roof above the location. You, Tara and you 3 civilian looking men are on the ground with me. Say nothing. Do nothing. If anyone... and i mean anyone looks like hes pulled a gun, shoot first and ask questions later. If law enforcement or military approaches, get me out of there and don't worry about opening fire." Jon nodded slowly. "Uh, ok sir." "Very good. Pull over here." Tara did. "Tell your men what i just said... scan there jeep too." Jon nodded, got out and headed back. He returned a few moments later. "Good to go sir." Iodit nodded, and started them driving again. He gave directions to Tara, and had Jon watch for a tail. They were clear so he at last pulled into a small back alley plaza. Jon and Tara clambered out, hands near there pistols. The soldiers got out and 5 of them immediately scrambled up to the rooof. 3 others took up position around the vehicle as Iodit got out. “Excellent work. Worth every penny. There is more money then what your getting however.â€
  2. "He wants us to do what!" yelled Admiral Colton. "You've got to be kidding me. Charge the bloddy ships!" "Sir, thats what he said," replied his comm tech. There ships could so easily be crushed... what was this General Hirotek fellow thinking... "Orders sir..." asked Navigation. "A moment please." Beside him other ships surged out to point blank. "Jeesuz christ, all ahead full. Stand by on the troops. Load up the assault shuttles. Follow the generals orders... How many fighters we have left?" "Uh... 22... 10 from elite, the other 2 squadrons have combined into one." 22 fighters to escort 14 assault shuttles... "Give me a link to Gold one." A moment, and a light flashed on his screen. "Gold one here." "Rhys, we want to try to board... Could you get those shuttles over to an enemy ship safely?" A pause. "I... I think so sir... We'll need a few seconds warning to when they launch so we can form up..." "Good, standbye." The ships shook as a blast ripped into it. He glanced at damage control... shields failing. The carrack was going to be destroyed if it stayed... though the assault frigate was holding up well. "Tell the Defender to jump out of here and standby..." "Aye sir. Troop transports ready... they could launch within 10 seconds of the order." The Introvertor shook again... "This General better know what he's doing"
  3. IC as Iodit Iodit pressed the button on the comlink. "Send him in... Your sure he wasn't followed?... good." The door opened and a rather pompous looking man walked in. "Harrumph... all that security. What's your big worry?" "Ambassodor, please. Your own security forces were driven off. The rebels are above there, and god knows how many have infiltrated down. If they discovered we were meeting... the results could be disastrous. As it is, can you still gurantee the forces we discusse dof before?" "Of course... that and more. You and your other... non-human... councillors can remaing as councillors, though you will need to add 4 seats to the government for Imperial Liason... 50 million credits per year plus a bonus of 150 million upon initial sign up. And then there are some more... shady side of the dealings I'm sure you don't want to have spoken." He passed over a sheet. Iodit quickly read it and let out a low whistle. "My lord... my lord... Well, if the Republic doesn't send down there ambassador soon... I'm pretty sure you'll have us!" The man grinned, as did Iodit. "Sounds good... Your men will conduct me out?" Iodit nodded. "Pleasure doing business." With that he lifted up his considerable bulk, turned away and walked out. Iodit placed a call into his secratary next. "Contact the republic. They have 24 hours to have the ambassador on the ground, and we meet 6 hours thereafter at the latest... otherwise they can just leave the damn planet and never return.... Yes, in those words please and thank you!" He pressed the button to turn it off and leaned back... life was good.
  4. *cough* *cough* No imps? I could take em too! That way I'm not on the any of your sides, its me stick all of u But seriously... we need to move the story along. Launch the freighters onto the ground. Hefi forces can try to foil them (but fail). we need to give jess's character some free raign... he has nothing to rlly do except sit on the ship until you let him down on the ground brandei...
  5. "Sound the Klaxon. 30 seconds to Hyperspace Re-entry. Double check battle stations," ordered Colton. "Aye sir... all stations report 100%." Colton nodded and returned to looking out the viewscreen. Their method of arrival was confusing to say the least. They had jumped around, getting repairs done from a variety of worlds. There assault frigate was fully equiped, as was the Introvertor. They had repaired the Carrack to 65% capability as well as picking up a dozen more assault shuttles. The problem was that it needed some time in a real shipyard for repairs. A trader had suggested Kuat, so they were heading there. The trader had given them basically a pirate point... they would be coming out pretty close to the planet... "5...4...3..." They reverted to real space and around them there wasn't very much activity. In fact... incredibly little. Curious. "Sensors... what's going on?" "Scanning sir... it appears... Son of a Sith sir! 2 armadas on the other side of the planet... Reporan and... GFFA, whatever that is, and some other unidentified ship." So the rumours were true... Kuat was not a great place to be. Options... "Communications, get us a set of co-ordinates from whoevers in charge. Inform them we're from the Taurian Combine and are looking to join the fight against the rapora. Fighters can launch once we're closer... Stand by on the troop transports." From what they'd picked up in the ground battle with the raporan before, General Tarsyk had formulated strategies for dealing with the raporan ground soldiers. They required at least 5 to 1 odds, but when you had as much infantry as this taskforce had... they had well over 20, 000 troops. 14 Assault shuttles each carrying 40 could offload a lot of troops in a short period of time. Capturing a raporan vessel could be possible... but since they had little experience with, there was no actual proof of this. Perhaps the commanders could enlighten them. "Communications, be sure to ask if it is even possible to capture a raporan vessel. Navigation, move us to the co-ordinates communications gives you soon as possible..." "Roger sir,"
  6. i haven't seen trej post since the 7th... is he away or something? right now i'm above tatooine, getting my ships repaired best i can i guess...
  7. what about me, what can i do?
  8. IC as Iodit "WHAT!" Iodit was nearly yelling at Muloor in front of him. "You mean that a New Republic Ship fired upon us! Are you sure?" General Muloor nodded gravely. "Yes sir... They had freighters that were supposed to land... They undoubtably won't now though.. I have put in the security effects i told you about... But the real question is what do we do about the Republic... Our second mercanaries are waiting a 2 minute Hyperspace jump away, and there modified Carrack Cruiser and fighters could hurt them... but theres no way they'd survive. And our second group isn't several weeks away!" Iodit sighed and sat down. "We will continue as normal. Leave the starport security in place. Return the X-Wings to Standby... What's the probability the Republic picked up the engagement? Just in case it wasn't them." Muloor shrugged. "Theres no way they could know the exact details of the fight. They could of picked up the missile launches, and quite possible the destruction of the 2 A-Wings would be noticed... though we're 95% sure it was the republic. So they know anyways." Iodit sighed again... "Nothing must be leaked... the Republic must not know anything on the subject." The general saluted and turned to leave. "One more thing general... how's the ambassador?" Muloor smiled. "He's doing fine sir. He's very happy that we're keeping him here and letting him negotiate with us despite his forces being driven off. If we go with them, he has promised the additional strenght of an Imperial and a Victory II destroyer to help us drive off the rebels..." "And the agents?" "We've picked up 3... we're having them tailed. We hope they lead to something more. We know theres many more though sir. Anything else?" Iodit shook his head, Muloor saluted again and left. Playing 2 sides off against each other wasn't easy... but the benefits could be huge...
  9. IC as Jon "Heads up... we have contacts." As they closed with the unknown contacts they had slowly become clearer. At last his computer got him the identity of one of them. "Nebulon-B... IFF claims it to be the abdicator. Check the holonet, find out who its allied to Jeff." He lead the flight to swing away from the moon.... he wanted to had time to get moving if they were spotted. "Got 2... A-Wings, mark II... Oldies," said Scearcy over the comm. "We also have a half dozen light freighters... none of them are ringing a bell... though they're flying with military precision. Looks like we have New Republic forces." Jeff then said, "Abdicator recently defected to the Alliance according to the holonet..." A pause as they came into view. They were very distant, Jon could just make out a light freighter. Suddenly they scattered. Jon glanced at his sensors. "Spotted... The freighters are scattering. A-Wings are closing... i have 2 more launching from the Abdicator..." Jon did some quick math is his head. "2 Flight, turn back, head back to base. Stay inside 1.5 kilometers of us. Tara, stick tight, we're closing." Jon flicked a switch and his S-Foils deployed. 5 kilometers out... wished he could fire. His torpedoes had a 5km range, there concussions were only 4... 4 kilometers away... Rattler screamed behind him. A lock. "Scatter, 2 flight, lock em up." Rattler screamed again... incoming, 7 seconds away. Jon flew away for 3 seconds before chopping the throttle to zero, inverting and opening up. The single missile exploded brilliantly. Beside him, Tara skillfully dove out of the way and the missile flew by, calculated it wouldn't hit and exploded. "1 away!" called out Scearcy. One down... they had 20 seconds to gun down the second A-Wing... or else they'd have to take on the next... 6 fighters... 4 of them looked like TIE fighters... but they had shields. A sign of a newly defected ship. 2 flight was closer though... "2 flight, back to base. Stand off firing Tara." Jon whipped the X-Wing around, settled the crosshairs over it and waited for Rattler to get a lock... the beeping increased until it rang solid. "1 away," he said as he pulled the trigger. It exploded brilliantly. "Back to base... full speed, all power to it." Jon transfered lasers, shields, and pretty much all other power to the engines. The X-Wing leaped ahead to that almost equal of an A-Wing. Behind him, the A-Wings turned back. "We're clear... Stay away from the Republic forces. We'll wait until we're on the ground to report... stay frosty. Any idea why they screwed up our sensors?" Scearcy came back almost immediatly. "Sir, they had a radar dish on the moon... it was brodcasting weird frequencies. Something to do with Oscillations... and all of those freighters IFF's were logged to land within the next few hours... a way to insert into the city." Oh shit... "Contact, ground control. Have armed infantry meet every shuttle that lands... make sure they're clean."
  10. OOC: My bad... fixed.
  11. *coughs* All of this to pretty much win. Day 450, sesswanna is mine. A fleet of 5 MC80a's, 3 Quasar Fire Cruisers, 8 gunships, a few corvettes/bulk cruisers. Pound 2 imps, 4 vics and a carrack over Coruscant. 2 vics 1 imp dead. 1 MC80a's shields went down and thats it. Lost a few squads of fighters too. Coruscant falls with barely a squeal. Correllia falls to me by day 460. Sluis was mine at 430. Fakir is already dropping like flies. there down to 5 there. I've discovered 4 outer bases and taken them all. I have 6 outer sectors colonized completely, 2 more in progress. I stopped playing. No sense in continuing. I've won. The enemy forces I've seen 1 imp, 3 vics, 3 dreds, 2 galleons. I have no idea what else there is. There doesn't seem to be anything. Any one of my sector defense fleets could handle there entire fleet, and then i have 3 battle fleets that could crush them without a loss... *sigh* i need a good human opponent...
  12. OOC: Had to find a way back in... IC: The Introvertor appeared back at realspace. Beside it the assault frigate and Carrack appeared moments later. "Structural integrity on the Carrack?" "Fine sir." Colto nodded and glanced out the viewport. "Son of a... Battle stations. Sensors?" "Sir, Ship of unknown type surrounded by freighters on the ground... Not sure, but the capital ship looks raporan in identity sir." Colton glared at him. "Raporan! This is Tattoine, what the f are they doing out here. It's in the middle of nowhere." It was a pity they had to jump here... this was the nearest location the nav comp had stored... "Sir, 83% probability. It looks disabled though..." Colton breathed a sigh of relief. "Launch fighters, have them form up. Get in contact with those freighters, give me information. Stand by on the troop transports as well." Not that they had many. 2 of them were all that were left after the battle... there hangers being hit. They had men, but only 40 could fit in each...
  13. uhhh, just thought I'd ask as to what u want the contact to be. I dun care, i just figured you guys might wanna move the story into some fighting, so i threw it in. Make it imps, make it sensor malfunction (nothing) or smugglers or whatever (more to brandei seeing as hes directing it)
  14. IC as Jon Jon rocketed skywards, Tara clipped right in behind him. "Sorry we're late... what's the sitrep Scearcy?" "Possible enemies behind the moon. We're to scout it out. NR forces should know we're clean." "Roger, tighten it up. Jeff, patch into ground control, get me what there seeing." The group of 4 fell in, at max speed. "Sir, transmitting now," came Jeff's voice. He glanced at his sensors. Small blips kept appearing, then disappearing, just as rapidly. "What the hell is this? Alright, ETA 30 seconds. Stay frosty." They drew closer.
  15. IC as Iodit Head Councillor Iodit Thrumium "General, this is HeadCouncillor Iodit Thrumium of Hefi... I am the official leader of Hefi. I was just inquiring as to the reason you needed such a... large fleet... to negotiate... that was the deal. Just negotiation, a single ship no greater strenght then Mon Calamari Cruiser. And for your information, we invited the Imperials here... the single strike cruiser was the force that was authorized, but they brought in additional... at least they had the good heart not to bring them into the system." "Secondly, are you going to be the diplomat representitive? You are authorized to send a single shuttle down to the planet. Our own defense forces will provide escort. No Fighters are to enter the atmosphere, understand?" "Finally... hang on a second." Iodit glanced over to his right as General Mulroon entered. "Uh sir, we're picking up intermittent IFF contacts on the far side of our moon... i don't think the rebels can see them, our ground station's are more powerful, but we can't identify them." Iodit sighed. "Your kidding me. Launch the ready fighters, and call up our secondary pilots. ETA until merc group 2 arrives?" "2 hours sir," Mulroon replied. "Very well, send the flight of 4 out to scout out the moon... fire only if fired upon." The general saluted and walked out. "Apologies General. Send down your shuttle with your representatives. You may give it a flight of 4 escort down to the planet, but then they must return to there ships. Our own flight of 4 has to pick up some supplies. Understand?"
  16. OOC: What happened to brandei? we sorta need him to play the alliance general. Gone until monday btw...
  17. The Introvertor came out of hyperspace, alarms ringing. "Shut those alarms off..." A moment and they shut off. "Damage reports?" A pause. Colton glanced over to his damage control operator... dead. "Shit..." He walked over and gently lifted him out of the chair before sitting into it. Glancing at the displays it did not look good. All of 7 X-wings had made it out of Yaga Minor. 6 of those were from the elite squadron, but that was still of little consequence. 2 concussion missile stores had been blasted away, blowing away 2 huge chunks of hull on there starboard side. 14 more launchers were destroyed, and a few thousand were presumed dead... Structural integrity was at 63% Floating next to them was the Peace. And it wasn't much better. It's hull was scored from the incredible damage it had taken in... but it was at least in better shape. The one Carrack they had, the other one having sacrificed itself to take out an enemy ship, was pretty much dead in space. It was a miracle it was even moving. There was pretty much NO outer hull, just bulkheads that had sealed to hold in the atmosphere. Structural integrity was at 23% and it only had 3 Laser Batteries and one Turbo Laser left... The starboard fighter decks were destroyed on the Introvertor, but the port were ok. It was a good thing that only 7 fighters were left... the assault frigate's hangers were gone as well. "Have our fighters land. Navigation, where are we?" "Give me a second sir... Navcomp got hit. Bringing back-ups online. At least a minute." Yaga Minor had been a disaster from the start. There initial assault had done some damage, but the Imperials had no real plan of action... it was more to charge in and hope they got them. And then those mines... they were lucky they had hung back. There Red group of fighters was luckily some of the best pilots. Trained by an Ex-Rogue, they weren't quite as good as the rogue's that took coruscant... but they were damn near it. "Sir, we're at Ghorman." Colton considered there options. The nimble, there carrack, needed repairs badly. However, surviving another hyperspace entry was questionable. "Very well, effect repairs best we can. Try to see if you can hook up to the holonet and get us some information, a location to go for repairs. Jumping back to the Combine is last ditch." The door to the bridge hissed open and a fighter pilot walked in. Colton glanced over. "Glad you survived. You did the impossible... shot down 5 of the buggers. Pretty good considering there ships and pilots. Your son?" Rhysati Ynr shrugged. She had left the Rebellion shortly after resigning to look after Nawara Ven and her children... but when the kids hit 12 Nawara Ven up and left... leaving her to raise there 2 children. She headed out and joined up with the Combine, where now she and her son served in Red Squadron, Rhysati leading it. "He's fine... But 50% losses..." Colton nodded understandingly. "We need all the help we can get, do you mind helping out repairing." Rhys nodded... "Good. Help out at... Deck 12 if you could." She turned and left, leaving Colton on the bridge. OOC: location i can get repairs/next battle?
  18. Ah, and the fight continues! Farfin fell within 15 days to the superior strength of my forces. Unfortunately, the ships in the sector all took extremely heavy damage. As such, they were sent to get repairs. Due to the extent of the damage, the actual combat fleet will be unable to leave for a good 30 days. The small fleet that is to be left behind to defend the sector is also heavily damaged. A complete overhaul of all the facilities in the sector is also beginning. In the HQ sector, a horrifying scene occurred at day 346. A carrack cruiser showed as inbound. Alliance forces immediately scrambled. A nearby planet was made defensible and the HQ moved. Then the 2 nebulons in the sector were called in to the former HQ location. A Correlian Destroyer (Similar arnament to neb-B, but carries 1 inf, 1 fighter, and has really fast speed) was sent to the new HQ location to defend it. The 2 nebulons and there 4 X-wings met the Carrack and it fled. Unfortunately, this meant they had discovered the world, and by extension, the entire sector. As such, in the near outward sector a planet had 4 Gencore’s, 2 LRN’s and 2 Ground Based Ion cannons constructed. The nebulons, plus additional X-wings to round out the total X-wings to 4 wings (Wing is 3 squadrons right? For rebs it seems at least. Imps are 6 I think.) 2 Wings of B-Wings were also contructed and sent there. Defenses were erected and the sector made ready to defend. Sarka of the Dolomar sector had gone into uprising, so a battlefleet that had just finished construction moved over the sector and landed its troops in addition to the sector defense forces. It took 20 days to put down the uprising, and the fleet was sent to the Sesswanna sector to begin offensive operations. It was a weak fleet, consisting of 2 Corvettes, a MC80a, a medium transport and a bulk transport. It was mainly the ships that needed repairs from the Dolomar campaign. However, a fleet consisting of 4 MC80a’s and 8 Gunships was also sent to the Sesswanna sector from the HQ sector. Offensives are to begin on 380. The fleet that had fled from Correllia to Dolomar had arrived and had replaced its fighters. However, their ships needed repairs so they were forced to wait for repairs. In the Sluis Sector, the alliance fleet has achieved victory over the Imperial Fleet. However, they all have 2 Gencores and the fleet isn’t weak enough to break through. Repeated attempts to sabotage have failed, so the fleet is waiting. Disturbing news has arrived from Fakir. Recent intelligence pins there Imperial Star Destroyer numbers at 18, as a fleet was spotted with a ship labeled Imperial Star Destroyer 18 still being built. This is far higher then the Alliance has predicted, and could pose serious problems. As of day 370, the Alliance forces look to be weaker, but are better positioned to deal with the Imperial Threat then the vice versa (I think)!
  19. for the record... i don't actually have a preference for either side. My friend however refuses to touch rebels, he NEVER has played them. We play against each other, so I've gotta get good at rebels. So far I've killed him every time within 600 days... I got him to surrender 80 days in when i showed up and took over all of Sesswanna, but i still wanna do better...
  20. The Klaxons were loud. Colton was used to them, but they were pointless. They knew they'd jumped into the middle of a fight. "Shut those alarms down. Sensors, give me targets! Gunners, stand Ready. All fighters, Launch. Shields to full." 3 seconds passed before the sensor operator called out, "Sir, 22 unidentified ships of unknown origin. 24 ships identified as Imperial, with 4 other ships of unknown type with them, though they look Imperial in origin. We're coming in range of the lead fighters of the unknown ships in 5 seconds sir." It took all of a second for Colton to decide. "All missile, stand by to fire. Fire as they bear. Weapons free. Fighters, stay close to us, protect us from the fighters. Open a comm to the imperials." Colton waited patiently, watching out the viewport. The Introvertor shook as the deadly concussion missiles leapt out of there tubes towards the enemy fighters. about 45 fighters winked out, but there was more... Then the carracks joined in. They were primarily anti-starfighter, with some Turbolasers thrown in for good measure. These Raporan craft were hard to kill, but they were killable. However, sticking around was not a good idea. "Navigation, give me a course away from them. Use a micro jump if you have to. We better be gone before those capital ships get here. Red group, cover Green and Yellow squadrons escape, join us on the way out." The Introvertor shook as its shields absorbed damage, and the second salvo of concussion missiles leapt out. "Course plotted... 20 second to entry, all craft forming up." 15 seconds and the shields had already fallen, the ship shaking violently from the damage being inflicted upon it. Nothing for it, no way to maneuver as they fled. Seconds later and they entered hyperspace, exiting exactly 3 seconds later, pretty near to the imperial fleet. "Damage report? And get that channel open!" "Sir, Shields will be up to full strenght over the next 4 minutes. We lost 7 X-wings, and 4 missile turrets. Lots of damage to the Ships hull. No concussion holds lost sir... we still have enough for 70 shots from each turret The other ships never lost there shields, so there fine." "Sir, channel opened." Colton walked back to his seat and pressed a button opening the channel. "Imperial Forces, this is Admiral Colton of the Taurian Combine. We have come to help you in your fight. Please tag us as friendlies. Requesting orders."
  21. OOC: I'll take over as the Hefian government... i am the defense force after all. IC: "So we're decided. We shall hear the talks from the rebels." The other 8 council members nodded. Head Councillor Iodit Thrumium was leading the council in the meeting. The council was elected, and he was in essence the president of the world. "We shall then compare it to what the Imperials offered us and make our decision. The third group of mercanaries that we hired should be more then enough to defend us." Only the council and a select few knew of the third and most powerful group they had hired. They cost millions of credits but were incredibly able. "Any questions? No? Very well, i shall open communications." He waved dismissal and the other members filed out. He pressed a button for his comlink. "Establish Contact with the Alderran." A few moments Passed. "Alderran here." Iodit waited for a moment. "Alderran, this is Head Councillor Iodit Thrumium, elected leader of Hefi. May I please talk to the leading official who will be dealing with us?"
  22. Me and my Friend are having this argument. And that is are Fighters in SWR under or overrated. He says that they're already overpowered... I'm arguing they should be at least twice as strong, if not more. When you look at the X-Wing series, 150 torps was enough to do an incredible amount of damage to an SSD 25 or so Torps can strip a VSD of shields. So in theory, shouldn't even a single squadron of X-Wings be able to do some serious damage? I mean, because they have unlimited torps, it would make sense they do less damage. But still, i think 2-3 X-Wing squadrons should be able to do some serious damage to a VSD he doesn't even agree that 6 X-wing squadrons should be able to DAMAGE an ISD... I think they should damn well kill it. 150 torps or so... in the FIRST volley would wipe it away. So i just wanted to see who was closer to being right. Thanks!
  23. The rebels began scattered… there fleets weak, there planets in Peril. As supreme Leader of the Alliance, I was worried. Alliance Fleet (Note, everything, EVERYTHING, except fighters has been reduced in Maint and Contruction cost by ½) 2 Quasar Carriers (Alliance Carriers, no changes) 4 Bulk Cruisers (Added a tiny bit of firepower) 6 Corvettes (Standard) 2 Medium Transports (Standard) I began by sending a medium Tranport out to my HQ from Uvena, which was just north of Sesswanna. The 2 planets there were weak and Pathetic… 4 mines and 3 refiniries, plus a single construction yard. I began expansion there immediately, building more yards. In the Corellian Sector, I had Xyquin, with a Quasar cruiser and a bulk Cruiser. 2 Y-Wings and an X-Wing rounded out the group. A single training facility enabled me to begin straining spec forces to try and take a loyal world back. In the Fakir Sector, I had no defense forces… a single training facility and 2 planets. The imperials held nothing however, so that eased my fears. I began training infantry to defend against attacks, fearful of Imperial predatations, for they were valuable in mines and refineries. In Sluis, I had orto and Sullust, with orto having a construction yard and sullust a training facility. I began expanding there construction capabilities, as well as training spec forces for defense against the 4 loyal Imperial planets held there and one rebel! In farfin I concentrated my fleet… all but the correlian defense fleet, the medium transport at my HQ and a bulk cruiser that was in the dolomar sector. My 3 resource and contruction ability rich planets there and there weak 2 planets made it ripe for the taking… or so I though. My diplomats immediately headed out for the sector. Dolomar had me with 2 planets, and the imps with 3. Mine had a shipyard and a training facility, so I started to train for an early planetary assault against the loyal rebel system there. The first 50 days went on uneventfully. My expansion into the rim was going well, with a planet expanding with plenty of shipyards. Things seemed good, as a planet was swayed over to my side in the Farfin Sector, drawing the others closer. Then Disaster struck. My spec forces in Correllia had been hounding at the Rebel loyal selonia for quite some time. We managed to get it into an uprising, but then an Imperial fleet of 4 Vics, 2 galleons (Which are changed in my game to carry 2 fighters) and 3 carracks. My forces were forced to withdraw… they had enough firepower to slag the fleet. The next day, Bombardment, and my 3 defense regiments were annihalted… the world fell that day. They retreated up to Sesswanna and were then sent to dolomar, to aid the small attack fleet assembled there. In the next 15 days, Farfin became HIGHLY contested. I brought 5 of the worlds to my side, and he brought 4 of them. The last one refused to go either way. The next 30 days were a game of cat and mouse. His fleet comprised of a Vic, 2 Imps, and 4 dreadnoughts. My fleet was pathetic compared to that. 5 corvettes, 2 bulk cruisers, a quasar cruiser with fighters and a medium transport. Another Quasar would be joining me at about day 80 with 4 fighters, but I was worried I’d lose the shipyards by then! We chased each other all over the place. My fleet split up into 2 elements and harassed his planets, blockading, leaving, returning. They all had at least one shields, and my entire fleet couldn’t even get through one! So I just sniped at his fleets, entering, taking out a few fighters then running like hell! He brought his fleet in just as sabateurs struck, taking down my 2nd gencore, and assaulted my primary contruction planet. It fell quickly. It also swung the last planet over to my side. I staged a feint, using my 2 bulk cruisers and 2 corvettes to draw his fleet away, then brought in the rest of my fleet and blockaded the planet. I used Han and Chewie to take out 3 of the regiments before being driven off. The uprising had begun! 15 days later and I regained the planet. However, his fleet still hunted mine relentlessly, showing up over planets, blockading for a few days before leading. In Farfin, 4 planets suddenly became loyal imperials, making trouble for my 2 planets there. In Sesswanna, I’d expanded to have gencores and LNR defenses. Dolomar was quiet… at day 120 I had 2 bulk cruiser’s, a quasar cruiser with 6 fighters, 2 corvettes and 3 medium transports… I headed off to the planet that was loyal to me. I crushed the weak fighter defense and took the planet… swinging the rest of the planets to my side, 8 of mine vs 2 of theres. I went in after the next planet… and encountered a Vic, 2 dreadnoughts and 4 carracks. Plus a dozen or so ground based Tie fighter squadrons. I might of taken em, but I doubted it. I decided a withdrawal was the best idea. Another game of Cat and mouse. More fighter losses for the imps, but his fleet didn’t carry much of em in the first place. That went on for another 30 days before my first nebulon-B popped out, and he added another Vic to the fleet. I then engaged his fleet, nailing a Vic in exchange for a bulk and the other bulk being dead in space. He then withdrew. More Cat and mouse until I got another nebulon-B and managed to maintain control over one of there planets. I managed to eventually take the planet as my fleet increased with 4 more nebulon-B’s and numerous support craft. I drove him out by about day 220, giving me the dolomar sector. In Farfin, the was was continuing. A 4 dreadnought element had arrived from my HQ sector (Being the best thing I could build when I made them) and with there help I managed to play some more cat and mouse. Nothing exciting happened. The real fight didn’t happen until 250 when half of my dolomar fleet arrived, and then my first MC80a came out of hyperspace looking for a scrap. Day 200 my Sluis Sector had expanded to have a nice fleet of a quasar, 2 corvettes, 3 medium transports and a nebulon-B. I assault Sluis Van. I also brought in the diplomats from Farfin giving my the ability to recruit in more planets. 5 Rebel, 5 Imps. They had no actual defense fleet aside from a single carrack and fighters on the planets, so I chased them around, destroying there fighters before taking over 3 of there planets. Unfortunately, I overextended myself in this and they retook one of them with a reinforcement fleet of a Victory and a Dreadnought, causing another one to start uprising. Day 250 there I had a MC80a now, and so I managed to scare em off and retake the planet. However, they brought in enough firepower that it was more Cat and Mouse, with me unable to take planets and him as well. So it’s at a standstill as of day 320. At the conclusion of the dolomar campaign, I’d split my fleet into 2 elements… 1 contained 3 quasars with full fighters, 3 bulk cruisers and 2 corvettes, was sent into a neutral world of the correllian sector, and then moved to strike Xyquin. This resulted in a battle in which I took on a Victory, a Lancer and an Imperial, knocking out the Imperial and there fighters in exhange for them disabling a bulk cruiser and damaging another one, as well as taking out 8 of my fighter squadrons, and I retook the world, causing another to join me. A strike at selonia and 3 more swung over… Unfortunately, nothing except a single training facility on all the 5 worlds. The constant battering against the imp forces weakens me down to no fighters, enabling his fleet of 2 Vics and an Imp to chase my fleet around. I pull the fleet out for refit, as they were heavily damaged. The imps don’t have sufficient troops to take the worlds at least. That’s at day 320. Farfin again, my fleet engages his fleet. Rebels 3 quasars 4 dreadnoughts 8 corvettes 6 MC40 (Nebulon without fighters and added weapons) 2 Nebulon-B’s 1 MC80a 3 Bulk Cruisers 3 Medium Transports 17 X-Wings 7 Y-Wings 1 A-Wing Imperials 3 Imperials 5 Victory’s 4 Dreadnoughts 1 Carrack 3 Galleon’s Pretty much full on fighters, mix of bombers/TF Plus additional Ground based Fighters Another Note: Fighters weapons tripled, fighters shields doubled. Ties without shields given 4 shields (just to represent more damage have to be taken) An extremely long fight, takes me 10 minutes. My fighters and Corvettes engage his fighters, and the end result is my fighters die and it takes another few volleys for my corvettes to finish em of. During that time, I’ve concentrated on taking down his Vics… 3 of his are disabled to me in exchange for 2 MC40’s and my 3 bulk cruisers (wonder why they wasted there fire) being disabled. An Imp is disabled for another MC40, and he starts retreating. In the retreating fire, I disable another Vic for an MC40. End Result… Rebel Losses 4 Disabled MC40’s, 3 with no weapons, only hyperdrives, and one with NOTHING!!! All fighters 3 Bulk Cruisers, and only one of which can jump to Hyperspace And one of my corvettes took damage from his fighters… brought shield recharge to 0 but didn’t do any damage to the hull. Imperial Losses 1 Imperial 4 Victory’s All Fighters (Must have been at least 40 of em!) I capture the planet, capture another one. His remaining fleet shows up, destroyes my 2 bulk cruisers and the MC40 that were left behind, but I alrdy have Gencores, so he leaves. I then take one more of his planets. However, my troops are producing slow due to a lack of resources. Because of this I have insufficient men to take over the final planet. I have driven it to uprising through all of my victories, but it has gencores and my sabatagers are getting caught… As of Day 320 however, the Rebel Alliance is declaring the Farfin Sector Firmly in there control, but not pacified. Day 320: Outer Rim: One entire Sectore colonized with 2 shipyard planets, each with 8 shipyards, Two Construction Worlds, each with 6 Contruction Yards and a Training Facilty with 6 Advanced Training. The rest are all Mines/Refiniries. A second Sector is completely controlled, 2 worlds with Construction Yards each with 6. Still building up mines. Dolomar is Rebel, Farfin will be ours within 10-20 days. Sluis is split 6 rebel 4 imps, our fleet is a bit ahead, and when Farfin reinforcements arrive it will be done within days. Estimated time: 80 days until Rebel Controlled. Correllia is split 50/50, in danger due to no Ships in system save a single heavily damaged Bulk Cruiser The 2 planets in Fakir are heavily defended, each has 8 Alliance Army regiments, 4 sullustan and 6 Fleet Regiments. One has a Gencore and LNR, the other 2 Gencores. Our position is considered secure for now. Sesswanna is in serious danger. The gencores at the 2 bases there are repeatedly sabotaged, but no moves are made against them. Estimated Imperial Fleet 6 Imperials 12-15 Victory 7-10 Dreadnoughts 5-8 Carracks 1-4 Lancers 10-15 Galleons (They like making em for some reason *shrug*) Locations seem to change constantly… and the number is constantly increasing Rebel Fleet 4 MC80a and 8 Gunships just finishing production in HQ sector 4 X-wings at alliance HQ (That’s right… that’s it!) 1 Dreadnought, 2 MC40’s, 4 Corvettes, 2 Medium Transports as Dolomar Defense Fleet 1 MC80a, 4 dreadnoughts, 6 MC40’s, 3 Nebulon-B’s, 3 Quasar Fire Cruisers, 9 Corvettes, 1 Bulk Transport, 3 Medium Transports in Farfin 3 Quasar, 2 Corvettes, 2 Bulk Cruisers en route to Dolomar for refit/repairs 2 Quasar, 2 Corvettes, 1 Nebulon, 1 MC80a, 1 MC40 in Sluis sector I’ve had to cut back on production due to lack of resources, but that is changing rapidly as mines and refineries are being brought online at an astounding rate (1 of each at least every 7-8 days). Keep you updated as time goes on!
  24. Colton stared off into space. It had been a long time. Years of relative solitude for the small group. 'Renegade's' they were called. But they disagreed. They wanted nothing more then peace. They had grown tired of the ancient battle between Imperials and Rebels... They had fled. Taking whatever ships and supplies they could, they had headed outward. There they had colonized a planet, had expanded to 2 more. They're technology had hardly advanced... they were probably years behind the known sector. There single shipyard had worked on keeping there few ships operational as well as producing the brand new ship... A one of a kind ship. It was based on the old Victory Star Destroyer. The hull had been changed, and the lasers ripped out. It was bristling with 70 concussion missile launchers... Modified ones. They could deal a crippling blow to a capital ship or ward of fighters... The Introvertor. One of a kind, the ship class named after the ship itself. It had been completed a mere 3 weeks ago. And now the shipyards were to be completely refitted... brought up to date, expanded... they would be able to pump out these ships 1 a month, 2 X-wing squadrons for it as well as refit ships. The rebuilding would take 3 months... 3/4 of the combine's resources had been redirected to this project. They had warded off pirates and enemy species for years... hunting them down. They embraced the refugees. They had no ability for long range communication, but that did not matter... But now they did. A top of the line Lambda shuttle had entered their capital planet... it claimed to be Imperial, and it had a top of the line holonet. They learned everything. The truce, the Vong... and now the Rapora. The Taurian Combine lived for peace. It was what lead them away... But the Rapora sounded incredibly threatening. It was there duty to try to fight them off... to help bring peace to the rest of the galaxy. And so there taskforce was to set off. They had few co-ordinates... they were going to jump to Yaga Minor, the nearest System they had co-ordinates for. An Assualt Frigate, Peace , 2 Carracks, and the Introvertor. They carried 3 X-Wing squadrons... the very old X-wings, T-64's. They also had 4 regiments of Defense troops... They left behind 3 X-wing Squadrons and a single dreadnought... enough to ward off pirates, they hoped. "Admiral, the fleet is ready." Admiral Colton glanced up. He was the ranking Officer of the taskforce... he was also the emisary from the combine. "Very well... Jump." Within seconds the view out of the viewport changed to that of hyperspace. "52 hours... 52 hours until we discover the depth of the situation..." OOC EDIT: Changed us arriving to Yaga Minor from Bastion.
  25. Figure I've finally figured a way to enter this... I wanna bring in a renegade group of ships that split from the Republic and the empire to form a small combine. We're in the outworlds, just 3 worlds. We have an assault frigate, 2 carrack cruisers and then a Introverter class cruiser, a ship that is armed purely with concussion missile launchers... 50 of them. Shields and Hull are equal to a Victory. Fighters are old X-wings. I wanna bring in my fleet and help against the rapora Uhhh, any probs with that? I can change to a completely different character, this was just an idea for me.
