  1. Is the MC-80 Wingless ever going have the engien texturing corrected, the engins are just holes in the back and it looks prety goofy, Just wondering
  2. I sake keep them they make good opponets for quick games, also i've found them to be useful to familureize my self with new units when you have released new versions of the mod[/code]
  3. Really?! I when I first used it in the game it dident seem like it, but OK. Also not to be a jerk, but are you going to add some windows to the texturing, by comparison to the other Mon Cal ships it looks a little bland.
  4. when your in the "Starting Fleets" directory, there a a number of files that dictate what objects are included in a starting fleet when a game Warlords or home world what I did was edit the Rebel00.lua file with an extra entry for Home One here is what you want to add to the content of the file { type = "Reb_Home_One_Cruiser", subsystems = {}, shiphold = {}, name = "", size = 1, number = 1, }, this entry will give you "One" Independance Cruiser right when the battle starts you can edit the "Number" entry but I'd say that watch what fleet size you use. I don't know what would happen with 40+ crusers spawning at the start when you can only build 15 cruisers on Large fleet size. Hope that helps. On a side note EvilleJedi, I think that the Home One model is a little too fat when it comes to the hight and the bottem side is WAY too rounded. point is that it needs to be flattened out a bit IHMO. Still it is cool to have it in the game
  5. Thrawn: I'm not looking to get into a debate about who's got the best system. we all have better things to do then go back and forth about what hardware is better for what. All I know is that I have what I have, it works(really well) and I love every second of using my system. take it easy yea'

I beg to differ I have had no problems with my system and it runs great. any hoo, it ain't the system it's what ya do with it, and when I'm done with it will not be the same system any ways Actualy the interface is quie easy to read @ 16x12 Also I'm not complaining, just trying to point out what players are experiencing with their systems when playing the mod, hopefuly Evil will be able use the information to better judge how much to put in to the mod to what folks systems can handel. If people can't play it they won't IMO

My PC's a Alienware Area-51 P4, 3.2ghz 1G Corsair XMS DDR400 Ram BFG Nvidia 5700 Ultra 128m video 120G 7200 RPM HD I normaly run 1600x 1200 with things set high, but with lighting and shadows turned down -Any thing over large fleet size no matter how many opponets and the game gets Laggy -one of the biggest killers for me is that between the high polly count in the ships, and having the planets being 3d objects I still often get lame frame rates when space gets crouded

Nath, I agree about the map size situation however not with your Debris point, reason the debris does not go away is of course the debris is gatherable resource on the normal game, and kind of on warlords, As of version .28 the little Mole Miners don't dock with the refinery ship to collect the wreckage I've not yet tried using mining in .29 (i usually rely on RU Injections) if EJ has corrected the issue that prevents the MM's from collecting any scrap for RU try gathering it up, reduce the required cycles on the CPU, and get money to build ships at the same time it's worth the effort
  11. the Viscont is not avalibule to build in the mod yet, however Eville has changed it's status to complete in the shiplist on the warlords site - hope it sticks I beleve it's actualy going to be called the "Strident Star Defender " now
  12. EvilleJedi: I'd like to make comment about one of your ship models particularly the Viscount. I feel you should use the version with the engine shrouds on the aft end of the ship, it nicely balances the vessel out. and makes it look less like the Republic SD. Which ever direction you intend to go I welcome the vessel either way. also what are you using for source material? I've never heard of the ship till I discovered your mod. I've been impressed with the mod thus far and eagerly await the next version. BTW: I can't wait till you add "Home One" to the mod, is that the Independance or the Dauntless Cruiser?
  13. yea, shortly after making my previous post I noticed that the .big for the 0.29 use "Under Scores" insted of "Dashes" made the change and got it all to work, the problem was staring me in the fase the whole time This Mod is one of the best I have ever seen for a RTS game it gets more play time then any other game that I have

I'm new to the forum so first I'll give a quick hello' I'm having a heap of trouble getting the 0.29 Test release to work I know my path names are correct, the .big file is in the right place, but still the mod does not work Below I have included all of my paths Homeworld 2 directory path ------------------------------------------ C:\Program Files\Sierra\Homeworld2 =>bin or data files depending Homeworld 2 Short Cut path information ------------------------------------------ "Target" entry = "C:\Program Files\Sierra\Homeworld2\Bin\Release\Homeworld2.exe" -mod HW2-SW-WARLORDS-BETA-V0.29_TEST.Big -luatrace "Start In" entry = "c:\program files\sierra\homeworld2\Bin\Release\" Warlords 0.29 .big File name ------------------------------------------ "HW2SW_WARLORDS_BETA_V0.29_TEST.Big" Comparing the .big file name of the 0.29 release, there is no "Dash" between the HW2, and SW for the 0.29 .big file. where as the older 0.28 release DID have a "Dash in the .big file name see below "HW2-SW-WARLORDS-BETA-V0.28_TEST.Big" "HW2SW_WARLORDS_BETA_V0.29_TEST.Big" I've tried matching up the different paths with and without the "Dash" with no results I was able to get 0.28 to work with out much difficulty, but 0.29 just will not work what am I doing wrong? BTW I do have version 1.1 of homeworld2 installed
