I already discovered the render template bit and am using it for the ship. I must say what i find most amazing in the 2009 version is how they have totally changed the viewport navigation system. Well I guess its not so much change than drastically improve.

Sad news about Bernie Mac. I liked him in the films I saw.

@Kryt: I'm using Max 2009. I must say I find it most efficient. @Eagle: Its for a fan movie I'm working on. BTW guys the final name for the ship has been chosen by one my friends. The Black Maiden or in french La Pucelle Noire.

Last night i got to see Wall-E. I loved it! I just found it was a beautiful little movie and it is clear that the guys at Pixar are still the best when it comes to computer animation. I also believe they have succeeded in creating one of the most loveable characters up to date.

Its a Munificent-class Star Frigate as seen in "Revenge of the Sith". This is a pirate ship for a fan film I am working on. Name suggestions for the ship are welcome. The two i am hesitating between at the moment are The Privateer's Plunder and The Black Maiden. Give me ideas guys. BTW Kryt, would you know how to make the planes I used to make the outer hull bits double sided easily?

I tried Blender but the interface is so innovative that I always feel lost. The thing is that 3dsMax's interface is so simple that its hard to change platform (though its a pity that max is only available on PC). Speaking of 3dsMax. I have recently been working alot on it. It may be time for me to post some new pics in the Art thread.

The other day i got to see "Full Metal Jacket". Very good movie but it was bloody dark. Its is very interessting how the movie shows the destructions the soldiers' personnalities. They are wipped clean and replaced with new mentalities. As usual for any Kubrick movie the ending is raher cryptic. I highly recommend it.
