First of all, thanks to all of you for the great advice. I had 2 Bulwarks in my fleet. I added two more and I also added 24 B-Wings. That did it. The bombardment took out most of the military installations. I was easily able to assault the planet and win the game after that (I had 60 wookie troops in my fleet). To answer some of your questions: Palpatine and a general were the only ones left. And Palpatine was injured. I think he was injured when I sent Luke on a mission and they squared off but I'm not sure. Vader (and all other Imperial characters) were captured and on my fleet. It seems brute force is the way to go in this game when it comes to heavily defended planets. I tried all manner of character/special forces combinations and nothing worked. I had decoys in every mission and I even sent various missions at once to various targets and nothing worked. I've had this game since it came out and I beat then when it came out. I recently reinstalled it and thanks the you guys I was able to beat the game again. I think this time I'll try again as the Empire.... Later guys, and thanks again. Datajack
