I've owned Rebellion for several years now and I've created a mod for myself, thanks to RebEd. I've changed all the shields, recharge, hull, damage control, and sublight ratings to match up with those from XWA alliance. I also made it so that instead of building squadrons of fighters you build individual fighters so a Star Destroyer now carries 72, etc. The result has been interesting. On to the story. I was playing a drawn out campaign against the AI and I'd finally thought I could gain the upper hand. The Imperials had launched a desperate assault on me since the start of the game and I'd barely been able to hold them back but now I had an ace up my sleeve. I'd built a sector fleet consisting of one Mon Calamari Cruiser, two Nebulon B Frigates, four dreadnaughts, twelve corvettes, and of course a Quasar fire Class Carrier. I launched this force at Charmath. what I'd belived to be the source of a series of raids and intelligence had shown a relatively meager force there. I was wrong. My force Jumps out and finds not a small fleet but an Imperial Armada, two Excort Carriers, Six Victory Star Destroyers, and a whole load of support ships. Was I unnerved, you bet. The Fleet I had was outnumber almost three to one. But, I thought maybe I'd be able to kick them out considering I had such a huge force of rebel starighters in my hangers, so I decided to meet the Imperials head on. The Battle was intense, I sent my X-wings after the enemy starfighters and the Y-wings after the capital ships. Within less then sixty seconds I'd lost my Mon Calamari Cruiser. Then to my astonishment not one but two vict stars bought the farm, exploding from the concentrated barrage from my dreadnaughts and the Y-wings. I thought, wow maybe I can win this, so I launched another series of strikes as the X-wings kept fighting the enemies fighters. The enemy delivered a series of broadsides and I watched my all but one of my dreadnaughts and my Nebulons become incondesent gas floating in space. But I gave just as bad As I hot, utterly destroying two more victory star destroyers and damaging a third. With my capital ships all but eliminated I decided then It was time to cut my losses so I cut and ran. Charmath was left in Imperial hands, but I think they won't be launching many more attacks since I reduced four of those star destroyers into nothing more then molten metal. Take that Imperial Scum!
