Jahled Posted June 28, 2003 Share Posted June 28, 2003 Jahled, I can see it in RebEd, are you sure you installed it correctly ? I've gone through the proceedures in the notepad file three or four times, just like the other ship models with textures!  As soon as I click on the view ship model in the RebEd menu I get that Critical Error message (in French) like Kolace, and RebEd dies.  But it works fine in the game. Is there an order you have to import the textures? I also don't think i'm seeing the bridge lights. Is it possible i'm not installing the textures correctly, and if so where on earth can I be going wrong! the_mask Posted June 30, 2003 Author Share Posted June 30, 2003 Well this happens, when I saved the model with LithUnwrap into a .3ds and converted into .x from there, but since I can see it, there should be something else going wrong.  So let's try it again: open the 303 folder and click on the actions menu. Select 'add new resource' and open the first of the bin files in the next dialog. The you need to fill in the values. The first one is always 303 for textures, the second one is the name, according to the bin file's filename, but with .bmp for the extension ! So if you got a hull.bin, you need to enter hull.bmp. Last is the language 1033 for the US and UK version of Rebellion.  There is no order, that you need to have. You should be able to see the faint white lights at the bridge, like in the screenshot I showed you. They should also be visible in the 'trenches' at the sides. Hope this helps you guys. I'm gonna try out the model I posted nevertheless, though. Were you planning to build yours from scratch ? Please do so, then everyone can choose the models they like best and use them.  The Interdictor and Enforcer are probably gonna be next, if I don't finish the Mod/Strike cruiser first INT and Enforcer are almost the same model, so they'll be released at the same time. Jahled, I've tried that on the picture with my budgie, but I didn't get a woo out of him. I'm still tweaking the Strike cruiser models You say you can't model ? Well I said that about myself a while ago as well, but I'm learnig each time I fire up the 3d prog. Try out the primitive forms, like a cube, convert them to editable meshes and move the vertexes around a bit. You'll be surprised, what you can learn, even from failures  Jojo, thanks To show you the light you sought: my latest provider didn't say, that the don't allow files over 1 MB, so I only found out during testing after uploading the page.
