Rebellion on STEAM, GOG, and Origin

Star Wars Rebellion is now available on Steam.

Was hoping to post this back in May when there was a sale on. Managed to grab it for less than $2.

In its default state the SWR Steam version is capable of running on a machine using Windows 10, 64 bit. I had serious concerns that it would not be compatible but it runs fine.

 

It does suffer from the occasional crash to desktop, but this only seemed to happen past day 1000. As long as you're saving every 100 days or so it wasn't a major issue.

 

RebEd does work with it, though it seems to increase the chances of game crash slightly.

It's also available on GOG.com, which version seems to work a tiny bit better than the steam version (I own both), RebEd works with both, not sure exactly how, but it does. I like the GOG version better, its more "DRM free" type of feel. Anyway, it has the same issue where you need to save at least every 100 days or so and then you are fine, otherwise you will experience the well known crash. It looks like both Steam and GOG have it on sale for $5.99 right at this moment.

It's time to stop playing with VM's and the CD and get a new working copy from Steam or GOG.com. Then you can install it on any newer version of Windows from Windows 7 on up, and use it with RebEd too!
