XeqtR Posted November 25, 2003 Share Posted November 25, 2003 Hey hows it going. Well i used to be a semi regular back in the day using alaises as talon karrde and mazzic. Well basically now that msn is gone i'm finding it PARTICULARLY difficult to find an online game. I do however idle in the rebellion gamespy room but there is always NOBODY there. So as a suggestion i was thinking that this site should maybe have an irc channel, and if there is such a channel allready could i please get the server and channel #. I'm allready an avid gamer with galaxies, Counter -m Strike and Day of Defeat and i just came across my very missed copy of rebellion that i lost over a year ago. Having an irc channel and having the regulars idle in it would be just amazing and soooo much more convenient to find games or at least schedule them instead of e-mailing and private messaging. And I know gamespy can be a bit of a resource hog (depending on your system) but even having more people idling and supporting the rebellion room they have would be nice also. That way even if a play is not on at the time .. u can at least message them cuz they'll most likely respond to that faster than mail. These are just a bit of input, they might not be the best suggestions but i think it would make it easier on all the players in finding a match instead of getting bored of the AI and bored of the game as well. LordVader Posted November 25, 2003 Share Posted November 25, 2003 I can suggest an IRC server to use, it's easy to access no matter where you are in the world, for people from here to meet and arrange multiplayer games. IRC isn't such a resource hog since it's mostly text. I use IRC often and it's a good way for arranging things, will free up the forum a bit too. pm/e-mail me if you're interested and if any of the admins/moderators are reading this and agree/disagree with my suggestion, please let me know either way, the last thing I want to do is discourage people from using the forum.
