Installation on windows 8?

Hi all, I'm new to the site, I used to play rebellion when I was a kid and recently re-acquired it, but i don't know how to install it on windows 8 (or anything else for that matter), and have pretty much no idea what I'm doing, some pointers would be a great help.

Get a virtual computer running (like vmoracle) and install rebellion upon-it. W8 is screwed.

There is another topic about this already. Rebellion runs just as well under Windows 8 as it did under windows 7. If you follow the guide follow the guides available one this site to install on windows 7, then use the ddraw.dll hack found in the other windows 8 thread, then you should be golden.

No, not golden, as you will then HAVE to play under windowed mode. Not quite good, since rebellion is already SO low-resolution. This hack is very bad, in this regards.
