Lavo Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 So, as everyone here is aware, the stock sizes of buildings in Sins is very large. By large, I mean they are shown to being 2+ kilometers in size, for reference the ISD is 1.6 km. I'm considering shrinking down the sizes of structures in order to better reflect their size relative to ships, and was wondering what everyone else thinks about this before I go ahead with it. Chimaera717 Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 I think, generally speaking, the scale of THINGS in Star Wars is very large - ships of the line are 1.6 kilometers, true massive capital ships nearly 10 times that, etc. To me, it seems that it follows that orbital structures are also very big. Research yards (not like those exist in the SW universe...research is generally done planet-side from what I can tell) must be capable of holding tens of thousands of workers and scientists, equipment, provisions, etc. I honestly think we may as well leave the structures as they are - it seems to me to be unnecessary work.
Lavo Posted December 27, 2011 Author Posted December 27, 2011 Research stations: Agreed that they should be big. Hrm... Now that I think of it trade ports and refineries can just follow their canon size while research and broadcast centers should be large. Yeah... This was a silly question.
