MrPhildevil Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Well, I've got the new version now and it seems I can't update the game without "upgrading SVN", thus making it "unusable for older client". Should I upgrade-it then? Did you (Lavo)? Help me, please
Lavo Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 I still have an older version of SVN, v1.6. You should be fine with an older version of SVN. If you are asking me to upgrade my SVN client, I can do this. Or in other words, does v1.7 give you messages that it cannot work properly with older versions of the program? MrPhildevil Posted December 9, 2011 Author Posted December 9, 2011 I still have an older version of SVN, v1.6. You should be fine with an older version of SVN.Yeah, I know, it was fine, but did not know that you hadn't upgraded. Also, I did not know that this version wouldn't be compatible with older version. Maybe I'll downgrade... If you are asking me to upgrade my SVN client, I can do this. If this is not too much nuisance for you. Anyway, I guess we'll eventually have to make the change so new testers can actually get this to work... So yup, I'd like that if you don't mind Or in other words, does v1.7 give you messages that it cannot work properly with older versions of the program? That's about is right as it can get, if I'm not mistaken, that is.
Lavo Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Noted. I will upgrade my SVN then; the next revision update will use it. Thanks for the heads up on this! Sins of a Galactic Empire staff.
Xanthors Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 funny thing with new Tortoise version, it wouldnt work on computer, but then i uninstalled it and installed 1.6 something version suddenly everything is perfect
MrPhildevil Posted December 9, 2011 Author Posted December 9, 2011 Update: December 9, 2011 | Revision: 666 Minor string update. You must update TortoiseSVN to v1.7 in order to update the beta from this update and onwards, v1.6 will not work. Something to keep in mind. Maybe you should try to find what's wrong with 1.7 and your computer?
