Can't unpause in space combat????

Running Rebellion on Xp. Used to run fine.... Reinstalled after uninstalling. Have same problem over and over. Tried uninstall/reinstall several times. Same problem. Don't get voice"your fleet is at your command".Can't unpause in space battles. Can Autosimilate, and can exit from battle screen to main menu but nothing else. Any suggestions?

Nobody answered this one? Are you using XP 64bit? Did you upgrade to service pack 3? I can help you, but I need some more information to go off of.
