Commodore_Andrews Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 My Rebed worked until last week. And now it says, "Cannot load library"I tried reinstalling it and it kept saying something about it couldn't delete a file. (I found my disk )
Master_Xan Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 So wait... is it working now? Can you manually delete the files, and then reinstall? Also, do you have administrator privileges? Star Wars: Rebellion, A Field Manual"O be wise, what can I say more?"
Commodore_Andrews Posted November 2, 2009 Author Posted November 2, 2009 It keeps telling me I that it can't delete LVC30.dpl in the system32 folder. It keeps saying it is in use and can't be deleted. I have full administrator rights. I've never seen something like this before.

Master_Xan Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Restart the computer in safe mode. Then delete it. Star Wars: Rebellion, A Field Manual"O be wise, what can I say more?"
Commodore_Andrews Posted November 2, 2009 Author Posted November 2, 2009 I tried going into safe mode and was able to delete the file. Then I restarted, reinstalled RebEd and tried to open RebEd. It popped up a window with the header "VLC30.dpl" and the message, "Cannot load library" I don't have a clue what is going on.
Master_Xan Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 What version of Windows are you using? I've got Windows 7 and just duplicated your problem. I'm going to work on it and I'll tell you how to fix it when I figure it out... Star Wars: Rebellion, A Field Manual"O be wise, what can I say more?"
Commodore_Andrews Posted November 4, 2009 Author Posted November 4, 2009 XP SP3 I tried to open the file to see what was in it. Access denied. What does this file do? It was installed when I installed RebEd. I'm just going to have to get used to using Resource Hacker and SWRDE.
Master_Xan Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 I don't know what the file does; I don't have it anywhere on my computer. A google search reveals it isn't a Windows file or any other standard file; the format suggests something similar to a standard .dll file. It must be a library of some sort that either comes from RebEd or Rebellion (but again, I don't have it anywhere on my system). I just recently installed Win7; before the change over everything was working fine. I suspect that the crossover messed up my installation. I'll reinstall and see what I can figure out.
