Darth_Rob Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 Well the main challenge is finding a job in the middle of the school year, since its rare that a teacher will leave in the middle of the year. I was hoping to get into subbing, but you have to get enrolled with an agency that acts as a middle man, so when a school needs a substitute teacher for the day, they call this agency who calls you. Problem is that thats what everyone else who graduated with an Education degree is doing (where I live there are at least four different colleges that have Education programs, so thats a lot of people), so I dont have an interview with the agency until the end of January. It looks like I'll be going back to retail for awhile until I can find something in the schools... Your feeble skills are no match for the power of the Dark Side! Mad78 Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 YOu could give private classes to help kids do their homework. Its a very popular activity over here for students and its decently paid. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
Darth_Rob Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Thats true, that is another option I have. I could do some tutoring-esque stuff, or theres also night school or adult education classes. I have a few options. Your feeble skills are no match for the power of the Dark Side! My Website http://fp.profiles.us.playstation.com/playstation/psn/pid/BigBadBob113.png
DarthTofu Posted December 12, 2009 Author Posted December 12, 2009 (edited) I make my cash acting as a tutor; inner cit kids need them especially, it seems. Hardest part is just not getting frustrated with 'em, because sometimes they refuse to try to understand after a certain point; they just listen to what you're saying and copy it down. Mad78 Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 I once had to explain to 11th year student (ie 16-17 years of age) what a Galaxy was. I could hardly believe people wouldn't know that. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
