Haerzog Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 (edited) I know of a few mods which would do well with SoGE; Sins Plus - always a good ideaDynamic Battle System (From the Last Stand mod) - Cause it is really cool, makes certain ships fight like fightersCelestial Bodies mod - multiple planet sizes as well as more star typesRealCapitalShips - Cause capital ships need more power Some mods have features which would be neat to replicate;Distant Stars - Many more tech levels, and more capital shipsMad Scientist - More tech levels, more capital ships, and also tech trees to increase weapon rates of fire The various engine upgrade mods are also good, like Gurkoz sound mod and the Volumetric effects mod. I cant remember if SoGE has these already or not, but even if not these are available as stand-alones which can be integrated additionally by the game. Edited May 20, 2009 by Haerzog

sloosecannon Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 well... what I would do to start is decide to do something small, like mod a single unit with a single ability or something... then reverse-engineer what's already there...The data files are actually really easy to mod... Lavo Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Sins Plus: Been added and then some. Edit: For rate of fire, SoGE units only use LASERTECH, PHASEMISSILE, MISSILE, and AUTOCANNON weapon. The former three already have techs boosting their RoF. The latter one is used exclusively by the Vong. Sins of a Galactic Empire staff.
