fltcaptriker Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 I've been reading all the posts on here about agent editing. They all seem to mention a program for transcoding information in the 302 folder. I sent an email to AdmiralToguroAni as was advised in his post of the subject but have recieved no reply about this program. I was wondering if anyone active on the forums here may have it or something that will work for me. Thanks in advance~Matt
Slocket Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 You can use "Resource Hacker" to open up Tactical.dll to look inside it. It contains a 301 and 303 folder only, no 302. Is that close? What is it your looking for, or at? Is it 302 for sure?--------------I see, "agent" editing. That one call ALBRIEF.dll has the verbal data for let say the Alliance agent CP30 speaking during the introduction. I have no idea what format it is in, but that does have the 302 folder. voice data WAV, animation data in 302, the startng frames are in bitmaps folder. I never did figure it out how they get the full animations to be extracted and work.
fltcaptriker Posted April 11, 2009 Author Posted April 11, 2009 http://forums.swrebellion.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2506 Is where I was looking. And I believe I need to replace the images in ALBRIEF.DLL and ALSPRITE.DLL and convert the bmps to bins to replace the frames for animation in the 302 folders hence the 302 transcoder. At least how I understand it, if there is some other way to replace agents I am of course ready to here this too. I did use the bmp2bin converter I found on the downloads section and replaced the files using the method described in the post above but I did not get an animated agent even though I replaced with different frames.
