godream Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Hi all, I've been checking this site out for quite some time now and searched it extensively (and google!) and I can't find any mention of faction editing or adding? I am rather curious as to the hardships of adding a faction to rebellion, I know it sounds crazy, but a large amount of the work could be done by initially copying a faction; reb or imp, even for the GUI and stuff etc. but my main question is there a hard coded limit on 2 factions? or is there any way of adding a new faction without the source codes? thanks!
Slocket Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 There is no way to add another faction without the source code. Two player game. One vs. One MP, or the AI in SP. Thus many, and I, try to create a new game, or remake so you can change alot of things...but I had no idea of a new faction planned. Maybe something for the future. It is taking me alot more time than originally thought to get things done. Plus real life issues take my time away from gamming as of late (part-time job -was retired- due to investment income lost). But I hope we all finish our projects. It is a good thing that many are working on different versions. If one drops, the others can keep going where the last left off. Well, that is my long winded answer to a simple question.
godream Posted January 26, 2009 Author Posted January 26, 2009 ok, thanks alot for the info Slocket (looking forward to some of those 'versions' in development)
