Camera control

Is there any way to use a joystick to control camera movement in Homeworld 2? I only ask because that would make panning across ships and doing freehand 'orbits' a lot smoother for videos, rather than the shaky mouse turns.

 

I remember some guy over at PDS mentioned it about a year ago but never followed it up and now I can't find the thread anymore.

hmm I don't recal that, however you might be able to map the joystick to the panning keys, as for orbiting the camera I doubt you can do that since there isn't keys for it.
