For the new guys - Things I learnt and could be corrected by:

1) When you begin get rid of your default conning tower and find one with brackets saying (Aiming)

2) Your sailors, if you see the bar go less then half way you follow this link:

http://www.giddieup.net/navyfield/portal/modules.php?name=FAQ&myfaq=yes&id_cat=6

3) If you wondered about ranking heres what it means:

http://www.giddieup.net/navyfield/portal/modules.php?name=Content&file=viewarticle&id=6

4) You get to choose the hardpoints on your ship (but not mines unless you buy it). You can choose a single barrel gun or a double barrel gun, how many flak guns and even how may torps you can use. Also choosing the ammo and how much is at your disposal and  Lucasarts could learn something from this.

5) If you see bulge armor and can have it added to your ship do so, you can prevent a few of those pesky torps hitting you.

If you have the game give me a shout and add me on the above.
