Orbiter - Space flight sim

My friend linked this to me and I'm trying it out. Anybody try this yet and your impressions? Hmm, Well I think I saw someone else post this but can't be sure.

 

Fly in space (anywhere of your choosing) or just stay in earth's orbit.

Seems like my computer won't allow it to play on shiny graphics so it lags my game, weird. Oh and you'll need sound so just download it by doing a google search for "Orbiter sound", or checking that site.

 

Basic controls:

G = landing gears up and down.

K = (for Glider & Space Shuttle) is the nose cone opening/closing.

O = Opening/closing the air tight hatch.

Ctrl + P = Pausing/unpause

F1 = Cockpit and external view

F4 = Menu options

F8 = Changing cockpit views internally

Ctrl + D = Undocking from a space station and other vehicles.

+/- = Full Throttle, Throttle cut

 

The rest I learn slowly but surely and I used my Logitech joystick. Still haven't made a proper docking or landing since everything takes forever even though theres a time warp.

how big is the download? if its not too big i might try it after school, if it is then i'll try it on the week end

60 mbs big. Then when you get the "OrbiterSound35" it'll be an additional 11.1 mb. Then if your not satisfied with the low pixeled textures you can go to the above add-on link and add in textures. My comp seems to have a hissy fit so I have yet to make it work properly.
