EJMM Posted June 17, 2007 Posted June 17, 2007 Hi guys, long time no see, anyway, I'm looking for a good graphics card, that can play games like EaW on max without lag, right now, I'm thinking of buying the Radeon 1300, but if I find another one, that isn't too expensive, then I'll buy it, one more thing, It needs to be AGP, well, any thoughts or suggestions? http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/bg/type/2/Darksitheduardo.png
Jedi Master Tofu Posted June 18, 2007 Posted June 18, 2007 I have AGP 4x, and I think something that wold play EaW at max would be something above (mabey) 6800 Series for Nvidia. Good luck. EJMM Posted June 19, 2007 Author Posted June 19, 2007 well, a friend of mine has a ATI all-in-wonder 9800, and he plays it on max without lag, and as far as I Know, the Radeon 1300 is better than the 9800, so it should play it without lag... http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/bg/type/2/Darksitheduardo.png
Tank Buster Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 I have an nVidia geforce 7600. It works great, I can play all of my games with graphics on high with no lag or anything like that.
Droid803 Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 I have an nVidia geforce 7600. It works great, I can play all of my games with graphics on high with no lag or anything like that.I think I have two of those... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v423/kc1991/droid803sig.jpg"That was fun"
Controller Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 i have a 7600GT(which i have overclocked a bit) and i can play most if not all my games on high with no lag http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i276/At-At_controller/leetspeak4cz1jr.gif
Droid803 Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 Wait, mine are 2x e-geforce 7600GSPlays everything on high, no lag...then again, I did blow quite a bit of money... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v423/kc1991/droid803sig.jpg"That was fun"
Empireftw Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 I would go for the geforce 7600gt i used that and go no lag on eaw with all the seting up high but now i have the 7950gt which i cant set the graphics on high for all old games and most of the newer ones. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a245/loverdog/pffuserbar2.jpg
EJMM Posted June 25, 2007 Author Posted June 25, 2007 alright, and wich one is better?, the 7600 GS or 7600 GT, or are the same? http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/bg/type/2/Darksitheduardo.png
Droid803 Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 GS are the cheaper ones. GTs are better. Eh, just read this article, it should clear it up: http://www.firingsquad.com/hardware/geforce_7600_gs_preview/http://www.firingsquad.com/hardware/geforce_7600_gs_comparison/http://www.firingsquad.com/hardware/geforce_7600_gs_comparison/page2.asp thats where I learned more lol. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v423/kc1991/droid803sig.jpg"That was fun"
EJMM Posted June 25, 2007 Author Posted June 25, 2007 (edited) Thanks for the info, alright, one last question, even the gs is not as fast as the gt, a Geforce 7600GS of 512mb is still capable of playing games like EaW, battlefield 2142, or CoH on the highest settings without lag?, and how will affect gaming that this card has only 128 bit?, what does this means? Edited June 26, 2007 by EJMM http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/bg/type/2/Darksitheduardo.png
Empireftw Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 Do not get the 7600gs it will perform way worse then the 7600gt so no you will not be able to max any of thos games with a 7600gs. With a 7600gt you will be able to max 2142 and eaw but not coh you will have to spend more money if you want to get that high of peformance. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a245/loverdog/pffuserbar2.jpg
EJMM Posted June 26, 2007 Author Posted June 26, 2007 but it IS better than the radeon 9800pro, and this one could handle EaW perfectly, so I really don't see the problem, also been searching for reviews and all of them says that it can handle lot of games in high with no lag... http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/bg/type/2/Darksitheduardo.png
Controller Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 i can max settings on CoH with my 7600GT, so... :-\ http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i276/At-At_controller/leetspeak4cz1jr.gif
Lord_of_the_Sith Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 The latest 7 siries and the new 8 series are the best from Nvidia.I have a 7300GT 512 MB but it doesn't perform so good even if it has a so high ram.
Empireftw Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 i can max settings on CoH with my 7600GT, so... :-\ Hmm well i have never played it although i assumed by the screen shots and what i have heard about it that a 7600gt wouldnt be able to max it ohh well. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a245/loverdog/pffuserbar2.jpg
swgbex Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 It problably would be able to max it.. Just not at very high resolutions... * Smiles at my X1950xt* http://www.swgbex.com/sig.jpgHehe IA 2 venator
Controller Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 then 1280x1024 is not a high resolution? ;D http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i276/At-At_controller/leetspeak4cz1jr.gif
EJMM Posted June 28, 2007 Author Posted June 28, 2007 Found the 7600GT but with 256mb, the 7600GS is 512mb, is the GT still far better? http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/bg/type/2/Darksitheduardo.png
Empireftw Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 Yes it is far better even with less ram. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a245/loverdog/pffuserbar2.jpg
EJMM Posted June 28, 2007 Author Posted June 28, 2007 (edited) Decided then ;D, I'll buy the XFX GeFore 7600 GT 256 mb, hope that with it I can run games with alll settings on max, and no lag Edited June 28, 2007 by EJMM http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/bg/type/2/Darksitheduardo.png
