Need some help

I've been trying to get my Venator to fire a laser like in the movies...I'm using the Super laser code from the Death Stars and Eclipse but that doesn't work. I've take their behavior tags but nothing seems to work. Can someone help me out? This is the unit:

What exactly doesnt work. I had this problem ( well one like it ) a long time ago with a proton beam. BTW you can use the code tages insted of quote tags. It makes it in its own nice scrolling box if it takes up too much space.  ;D

*Sigh* I give up lol. Ok can someone help me with another problem? How when I put Space units with the map editor they show up in the game with half health and have the Ion Stun effect?

 

PS. Has anyone figured out why game non responding happens?

The unit problem is due to the new map editor updates. To get them to work you need to place markers that will spawn a ship not the ship itself.

you mean the game freezing and you having to alt tab out and then maximizie it again?

Yea...I didn't have it before then one day it just started up again. I deleted my Planets XML and that delayed the freeze a few days then I deleted my spacefrigates XML and that stalled it a few more days. I just have no idea where it comes from and why.

yeah i've had that problem my entire gaming history. not to take over your thread but i've also had these problems:

1 missing audio either bits and pieces or the entire SFX files

2 freezing all the time

3 error starting up and not reconizing the disc

4 not letting me uninstall FOC

5 unable to use MP

6 crashing when xfire is running

7 my CRDW and DVDROM drives "dissappering"

problems 1,3,4,5,7 are solved. Probelm 6 only happens once in a while and problem 2 has never gone away. it only freezes at the main men tho. weird.  :P Well good luck on your superlaser. if the problem persists ask z3roX. His SPMAT laser on his venator seems like what your trying to do.

Well when I click on the ability it doesn't do anything.

hhhmmm what about under its space behavior let me look... no looks fine. boy you've got me stumped.  :(

I kinda stopped modding, I'm just so sick of the constant freezing in GC it just ruins my mood and other things... But I still map here and there. I got a jungle map...problem is... its too detailed.

 

BTW Does anyone know how to get Proton Torpedoes to destroy in one hit? Even with hardpoints?. I'm trying to make a heavy torpedo that will basically rip through any ship and destroy it.
