jubb Posted August 7, 2003 Posted August 7, 2003 does anyone know whether or not you can extract the wave files from rebellion? if so, how?
Paul Posted August 8, 2003 Posted August 8, 2003 Yes you can extract the sounds from rebellion I've done it. You need the resxplorer program which used to be available in the downloads section of this site. Open it up and search through the rebellion files for sound files. It's easy. It has been a few years since I've done it so my explanations are a little general not really specific. Sorry.-Grand Moff Conway
the_mask Posted August 8, 2003 Posted August 8, 2003 You can also extract them with Resource Hacker. Just right-click on the wave folder and select 'Save [WAVE] resources'. Then you need to create a new folder, or select an existing one where you can save them. Nevermind, that the filetype says somethin about a script file, just enter any name. Then all the waves get saved into the directory, the only problem is, that their names are not the same as in the dll file, although they're in the same order. That's where the generated script file comes in handy: it's a normal text file with all the original namesand the new ones in it. Of course, if you just want to save a single wave and not every file from the dll, you can right-click the entry (the 1033) and select 'Save [WAVE: number : 1033] ...' http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
