Downloading Help

Will any of my stuff work on my computer at home if I save it on a floppy disk at school and open it up at home?

Also floppies are notrious for failing. (80% of my floppies are dead lol) USB flash drives are very cheap now days and hold much more data. Also some of the stuff probally won't fit on a floppy.
