Revenge of the Sith. Special effects helped, but it also tied together that 20 year old storyline and thats what made it so good.

It was a really tough decision. In the end I chose Revenge of the Sith for its great job in connecting all of the movies together along with the great lightsaber duels and the music "Battle of Heroes"

RotJ. Space Battle.

RotS was...eeehhh messy. It tied up the story quite nicely (but still leaving a few plotholes). The coruscant space battle was too short...if you got to see more of it...I'd might have voted for it (since I like that space battle better than endor), but well, I felt it was trying to show too much at the same time - lots of location jumping.

I'd have to agree with the bold statement. particularly order 66.

I'd say ANH. The effects weren't really flashy, but they were remarkable for the time. It revived the special effects industry after it had been abandoned in the 60s. It has a real classic feel to it; and contains the famous Star Destroyer chase. And it was closest to what George Lucas wanted: A B film with cutting edge effects (i.e.: Flash Gordon in 3D animation).
