admiral boty Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 I have collected a list of the imperial officers' ranks in order. Tell me if I missed some or wrote something extra which doesn't exist. Guest Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 I guess some of it matters on wether you are in the army or navy a general becoming an admiral would be strange doncha think? Ranks are a huge and complex cougulation of.... ranks.
Controller Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 yeah what cheese said, you have both navy and army ranks in there. moff, and grand moff weren't even military ranks, they were just what the empire called governors. I guess the real question is what part of the imperial military ranks are you looking for? Navy? army? stormtrooper core? Fighter command? http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i276/At-At_controller/leetspeak4cz1jr.gif
admiral boty Posted March 15, 2007 Author Posted March 15, 2007 Oh I see. So how is it really? Separately for navy and army? (only officers)navy: ?army? What do you think? http://myspacebrand.com/userbars/1/european.gifhttp://img338.imageshack.us/img338/8792/empireuserbarru2.pnghttp://img410.imageshack.us/img410/3138/rcuserbarrz9.pnghttp://img48.imageshack.us/img48/6922/sweawubanso8.pnghttp://Hungarian.Socialist.Party.WillBeDefeated.com/
Controller Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 Army and stromtrooper core(which was different from the army) would be something like this.(this is highly based on most earth army's, such as UK, the USA, Australia, France, Sweden and some others, some i have used more then others)NCOPrivateLance CorporalCorporalSergeantOfficersSecond LieutenantLieutenantCaptainLieutenant MajorMajorLieutenant ColonelColonelHigh ColonelBrigadier GeneralMajor GeneralLieutenant GeneralGeneralHigh GeneralGrand General The Navy would be something like this (this is being highly based on the RAN because the the only earth navy i know of by heart)NCOseamanPetty Officer Chief Petty OfficerWarrant OfficerofficerMidshipmanSub LieutenantLieutenantLieutenant CommanderCommanderCaptainLine CaptainRear AdmiralVice Admiral AdmiralHigh AdmiralGrand Admiral and starfighter command would be something like this(this is also heavily based on the RAAF and RAF, because their the only air forces i know, I'm also not going to do the NCO's in this.) Pilot OfficerFlying OfficerFlight LieutenantSquadron LeaderWing CommanderGroup CaptainFlight CommodoreThere are more ranks then this for starfighter command I'm just nor sure what they would be all of the above has been guess work by mixing real life military force to try and get the Imperial rank system, I'm going to be mostly wrong, if nothing else then because Ive based it on the commonwealth countries more then any other and the imperial system is most likely based on the USA Edit: added more star wars related ranks(all the ranks starting with High) changed the wording of some ranks as well http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i276/At-At_controller/leetspeak4cz1jr.gif
admiral boty Posted March 16, 2007 Author Posted March 16, 2007 Thanks, but how does an admiral maybe give a command for a general? Can he ? or the other way around? http://myspacebrand.com/userbars/1/european.gifhttp://img338.imageshack.us/img338/8792/empireuserbarru2.pnghttp://img410.imageshack.us/img410/3138/rcuserbarrz9.pnghttp://img48.imageshack.us/img48/6922/sweawubanso8.pnghttp://Hungarian.Socialist.Party.WillBeDefeated.com/
Controller Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 while an admiral and a general are the same rank if the general was assigned the the admiral, then the admiral would be in charge or vice-versa(but a general incharge of an admiral would have been even rarer), but this would have been very rare. otherwise it could have been that the general was a major general or Lieutenant General making them lower in rank http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i276/At-At_controller/leetspeak4cz1jr.gif
Empireftw Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 Yeah most likely the admiral would be in control because he is the one with the star destroyer or star destroyers carrying the generals troops, making the general more of a passanger instead of a commander. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a245/loverdog/pffuserbar2.jpg
admiral boty Posted March 16, 2007 Author Posted March 16, 2007 All right. Got it. Thanks guys! http://myspacebrand.com/userbars/1/european.gifhttp://img338.imageshack.us/img338/8792/empireuserbarru2.pnghttp://img410.imageshack.us/img410/3138/rcuserbarrz9.pnghttp://img48.imageshack.us/img48/6922/sweawubanso8.pnghttp://Hungarian.Socialist.Party.WillBeDefeated.com/
