Here's how the whole thing works. You get 4 votes! Only vote once per game! Please. Vote Yes or No for the first game, which now happens to be Company of Heroes and Medieval Total War II. And then vote Yes or No for the second game, which now happens to be Medieval Total War II. Repeat for games 3 and 4. Look at the links posted below to learn more about the games before you vote! Be an educated voter.

 

I will change the games once there is a good support for the game, or every week. Does anyone have any opinions on this? 2 new games to vote on any week sounds good, but it might take too long. Increase it to 4 maybe? (Yes...I did)

 

Please post why you think the game should be in or why not.

Okay...it's more than halfway through the week and here are the results as of now:

Company of Heroes: No. 5 votes to 2.

Medieval Total War II: Tie. 4 to 4.

KOTOR: Yes. 5 votes to 1.

Spore: Yes. 4 votes to 3.

 

There have only been 9 voters, so unless we want this to become the Supreme Court(they have 9 justices who decide everything)I suggest that more people start voting.

 

Also: If you are not happy with the results, post here why you think a game should or should not get in. Speak now or forever hold your peace. People can change their votes. And should if someone puts out a dynamite argument that convinces you to change your vote.

And this is just my thought but it would be cool to have a Age of Empires one now that we have heard of AOE IV and V. But I think I'm the only major AOE fan on here now so that might not work.

lol there are only like 9 people that still visit this site. There are some more but they don't post outside of the modding subforum. Speaking of modding we'd need a Mod sub-thing as well

that looks really cool. I even hate RPG's and it looks cool. Because unlike most RPGs in this one it seems like that you can do the combat yourself instead of the "your turn to hit me" RPG stlye combat.

I was chatting with ghostly via xfire a couple of days ago and I guess I'll post this here.

 

While adding support and boards for a lot of games is great and shows dedication to covering all types of games, we are only about a dozen or so who regularly come to this site.  Maybe we should keep the current threads system and only add a board for a game if/when it garners enough attention from the forumgoers.

@Ben: Yeah...that was one of my concerns as well. Remember that just because a game gets voted "yes" or "no" here does not mean that it will have its own whole sub-forum(as of right now at least). I don't think we've quite decided on that in the Maw(I'll find out). I think that Mass Effect has garnered enough attention from forumgoers to at least deserve  sub-forum like MTW2 and Spore have.

 

@AT-AT: I know for a fact that quite a lot of people like BFME and it has a very large community, much larger than EAW, and that community is crumbling(look at Middle Earth Vault forums)so it would be wise for us to start supporting the game and get the people that are leaving those sites to come here because it is a better place to be.

 

@Mikan: Half Life series....hmm...your wish is my command. It will probably come up for voting next week.

Just remeber, we don't want to stretch ourselves too thin.  We can have all the games we want, but if we have to many, most will be come defunct.

Here's the results of last week's voting:

AOE. No: 2 to 5.

Halo Trilogy. Yes: 5 to 2.

Mass Effect. Yes: 7 to 0.

BFME. No: 2 to 5.

 

Sadly, two of the greatest RTS game series were shot down this week. But Halo did make it through and Mass Effect was voted in unanimously.

 

Now, what to do with this. I think that there are not enough people with Halo, or enough interest in Halo to keep a subforum going. That's just me. Maybe we could have a FPS subforum that would include Halo, Battlefield games, Battlefront, etc. and that could be successful. Just an idea.

 

Mass Effect raises an interesting question. It is made by Bioware, who also make the KOTOR games. We have voted yes on both of these, so should we make a Bioware subforum, an RPG subforum(adding more games of course), or just have seperate subforums for Mass Effect and KOTOR(dunno if there's enough interest still alive about the latter one).

Meh, that's all I got. Oh wait! I gotta put new games up there!  ;D
