My question is has anyone asked the jedi knight and battlefront II communites for extra help? Or any other gaming community for assitance? It shouldn't be too hard to find people who could make MAX or OBJ meshes for people to convert and animate. We should get some outside talent, or ask permission to use their work. Yodaminch Posted January 5, 2007 Share Posted January 5, 2007 The trouble with Jedi Knight is a lot of the great contributors no longer have any interest in the game or have moved on and their contact info has changed. I'm actually attempting to contact one right now about a low poly model that might save me time if I can ever find a decent animation tutorial and can remap the model for dds textures. Gametoast is the best place for contacting any Star Wars Battlefront modelers. And they are very rare. Skinners on the other hand would be pretty easy to find there. Since i do have that game... Not that many people play it online but anyway if we could get some help... Whats another game community that has plenty of modders? I liked to have experienced modders. I mean it would be nice to have some models on the level of Bails. He has perfect animations, shadows, bump maps. It looks like he works for Petro. He's the last guy for JK I can think of, but the level of detail on his models would kill this game's engine. Neomarz I believe called it quits a while back.I'm actually looking for contact on psychoticsith. His Clone Wars models would be perfect. I'm not sure what happened to the BF community after BFII(probably a lot more modders), but I know there are a ton of expierienced Re-skinners there. (I was one of them ;D.) There might be scratch skinners. I know that there were a FEW new models. Also, BF's coding is similar to EaW's. Droid803 Posted January 6, 2007 Share Posted January 6, 2007 They have a few vehicle moddelers, lots of prop modellers, not many infantry modellers if any tho...I think because you can practically slap any animation onto any model without it screwing up...that'd be nice for EaW/Foc...wait, I should try it with the anim overrides.
