Empireftw
Nvidia i hear most ATI's have problems with drivers and just general playing games. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a245/loverdog/pffuserbar2.jpg
EJMM
Well, in some scores ATI has more point than Nvidia http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/bg/type/2/Darksitheduardo.png
Guest
I'm no expert on computers and such, far from it actually but I think Nvidia is better. I think it's meant for gaming and ATI ummm isn't?
EJMM
The question is for each one's Video Cards http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/bg/type/2/Darksitheduardo.png
Empireftw
Still ATI is the only grafics card company whos drivers would support some games so they had to update them or something like that, besides the fact that nvidia is cheaper heh just look at the prices now. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a245/loverdog/pffuserbar2.jpg
EJMM
Alright, I just wanna know something between the two...Which one has better Graphics Cards?, I'm planning having an ATI Radeon 1650 series 512MB GPU, but I still want to know which one has better graphics between Nvidia and ATI... http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/bg/type/2/Darksitheduardo.png

Mikan Cyclone
If it were me...I wouldn't leisten to anyone here, and I would compare the cards together, and see what they offer...I would probably go with Nvidia, but that's just me. Also, wasn't it ATI that was made for gaming and Nvidia for everything else? http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a245/loverdog/pffuserbar1.jpghttp://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i276/At-At_controller/leetspeak4cz1jr.gif
Garbageben
It depends on the person and what you are using it for. I am going neutral on this. I compare and pick whichever card will give me the best bang for my buck. NVIDIA and ATI pay to have the "built for nvidia (or ati)" on games to make it seem like oh you have to have this one. It's all marketing ploys. That said ATI doesn't have their next-gen cards out yet so we'll see if they top the 8xxx series from nVidia. http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/sh/type/0/garbageben.png
Empireftw
I would say ATi was definatly not built for gaming look at the rates i have seen alot of people complain that thier high class ati is slower then thier llower class nvidia. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a245/loverdog/pffuserbar2.jpg
EJMM
A friend of mine has an Nvidia of 256mb, a geforce(don't know which one of them), and I currently have an ATI 9600 series 256mb(a standar ati), and my ATI Is far better and faster than his geforce... http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/bg/type/2/Darksitheduardo.png
Empireftw
Well it read doesnt help if you dont tell us the class.  For example it could be a fx 5500 or something like that it might have 256 mb but it wont play as well because of its limited gpu. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a245/loverdog/pffuserbar2.jpg
EJMM
I don't know the class :P, well, I'm doing this topic because I'm planning to get a new video card for games, and I liked the 1650 series 512MB ati, I'm not looking the for the best, just for good performance in hight settings, and ATI's 1650 looks like a solution, also I'm familiarised with ati sooo.... just wanted the opinion here in the forum http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/bg/type/2/Darksitheduardo.png
Mikan Cyclone
FYI, If you want to overclock anything, get Nvidia. That thing is a dream to do. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a245/loverdog/pffuserbar1.jpghttp://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i276/At-At_controller/leetspeak4cz1jr.gif
EJMM
Thy have for AGP?, well, if you could give me a page where I can find it's cards, I would appreciate it, I have searched in their man page, but like i know nothing of nvidia(it's cards, etcs...) http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/bg/type/2/Darksitheduardo.png

Empireftw
Most likely the Apg port TBH apg has become out dated. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a245/loverdog/pffuserbar2.jpg
SWR Staff - Executive Evaders99 Posted December 4, 2006 SWR Staff - Executive Share Posted December 4, 2006 Nvidia's DirectX 10 card just rocks the socks off everything right now. We will have to wait until ATI releases its own to see how they compare. In terms of DirectX 9 cards, Nvidia's GeForce 7900 GS seem to compare well to the ATI's Radeon X1950. Recommendation: get the best one you can for the value. Neither brand has an advantage right now besides Nvidia's DirectX 10 card, because ATI hasn't had one on the market yet. Lord_of_the_Sith
Definitely NVidia. An ati can't stand any Nvidia especially because it's designed for games and it's an older Card Developer which mean it has more experience in this field. SirNuke
I currently have a 9800Pro. While I am extremely impressed by how well the card has held up.However, nVidia provides superior Linux drivers, and as such my next graphics card will be a GeForce. I am curious to hear the reasons why ATI cards aren't designed for games (and if so, what are they built for). Zing!
Empireftw
Im guessing grafical aplications ATI has had some bad expriences with thier drivers not working for some games. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a245/loverdog/pffuserbar2.jpg
