I personally only was sad when a few Jedi died.  Kit Fisto, Aayla Secura, Ki-adi-mundi, and of course, plo-koon.

 

Every other Jedi was killed in the name of the Empire and was an acceptable loss

Mace Windu's death was soooo funny because of his facial expressions and his acting in that scene. When he gets electrocuted by palpatine he does that totally fake scream that sounds sooooo funny and palpatine's facial expressions were hilarious as well

 

And I cheered when the jedi died cause I rooted for the bad guys in ROTS and in most SW stuff. When I first read Zahn's trilogy I was rooting for the bad guys and then when Thrawn died I was like "Noooooooooooooooooooooooo!"

 

And You gotta admit the jedi's deaths were pretty lame probably just to save screen time. Ki-adi-mundi just turns around and stars and blocks a total of like 3 bolts then instantly dies. Plo Koon just takes the hit in his ship and then flinches and covers his head in his hands while they finish him off. Aayla Secura didn't even pull out her light saber........... yeah........... lame deaths. Even my non-star-wars-fan family members thought it was kinda lame because in episodes 1 and 2 you see these jedi as like all but invincible and then having really lame deaths in the 3rd movie..........

Plo Koon - His engines were blown off, he was going to crash, what was he meant to do?

these jedi supposedly can sense danger before it happens, guess not this time.  : It's much easier to sense what a droid is going do before it does it rather than a living breathing clone trooper with thier own thinking minds...  : Aayla just stood thier while looking at them point thier guns at her and flipping the safeties off then they shot her :

Look at it this way the clone fought faithfully for quite a few years some jedi even were personal friends with clones, the jedis minds were in battle mode the last thing the expected was for thier own team mates to start shooting at them.

 

Its like a FPS even the best player doesnt expect thier own team to start shooting at them.

 

Besides the fact these were living breathing replicas of jango they could trian thier minds to not think or to hide something unitl the last moment.

IMO, Kit Fisto had one , if not the stupidist death ever.  He didn't die valiantly, he just got hit in the arm and died.

 

Empireftw, yes, the clones were friends with the Jedi, but you do know that, for besides n00b-whores, no one really tries TKing.

In the book, Kit Fisto's death took much longer. Sesee tiin died first in the book.

quite true. I remember when I got slapped in the face once; I was so shocked that I couldn't even respond.

Notice the discussions between Cody and Obi-Wan; they're suposed to give you the feeling that they trust each other with their lives.

Same goes for the rest of the army. Note the shock on Mundi's face when he looks at the clones; if he did sense anything, he would never have thought it was the clones. He would have attributed it to the threat of the fight. And then their's the effect of battle; Yoda felt the deaths of the other jedi because he wasn't fighting. This also explains why he could sense Commander Gree coming up behind him.

 

As for Windu, how would you react if your hand just got cut off? You can hardly fight if you lose your lightsabre and your hand, though he wouldn't have screamed as long. Luke was younger than he was, and he just gave a short cry of pain and then winced until the end of the movie.

 

One thing I don't get is why the Emperor always lifts his hands slowly and then shoots lightning. Especially in the senate chamber scene ("Now you will experience the full power of the Dark side!"  -3 second count- *Zaps yoda with lighning. Yoda doesn't see it coming* :-\?

Ya, know......... There is such thing as an "eject" button. And there is such thing as crash landing, he could have tried to steer his crippled starfighter away from the ARCs.

So an older, more experianced, fully trained jedi master who has been fighting a long hard war wouldn't have screamed as long because he was older? : Luke on the other hand is in his early twenties and for most of his life lived on a desert out in the middle of nowhere "farming moisture". Luke who only 3 years prior killed someone for the first time in his life and as far as we know. Never been seriously injured up until ESB.? : Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight

You're flying in a starfighter, and your wingmen suddenly turn on you and cripple your engines.  Not only would the lasers and missiles have finished him off, but if he did eject, we would have been caught in the cross-fire and died.  And that doesn't even count the shock factor.

It is a little known fact that right after Mace was electrocuted, a small rabbit-like creature spontaneously appeared right by the window sill, but was immediatly kicked by Mace.  As it fell, it's only thoughts were "Oh bugger, not again."  He was then hit be an air speeder driven by a human like being with a green bath robe.  Many speculate if we knew why it thought why it thought what it did, we would know much more about the universe than we do now. And the shock factor is a weak argument. They are Jedi probably the last people that you could take by suprise and the least likely to be shocked by something.  : And with thier lightning fast reflexes they would react rather quickly even if they were taken by suprise. Their is some dumb idea floating around that the only reason yoda lost to Palpatine was because he "was so hurt or grieved by the loss of the other jedi". did not yoda himself tell anakin to "rejoice for those who transform into the force" and all that non-attachement stuff? Yes he did.
