Off topic : Ewoks??They are the useless of the alien races and deserve extermination or.. wait. Use them as bombs, hehe i love it.The Empire wasn't arrogant.It was doing the right thing.

Are you calling me a.......REBEL?!?!?!?!  I WAS EDUCATING PEOPLE ABOUT THIS BEFORE YOU CAME HERE!  I DESPISE the Rebels!  If you can't see that the Empire destroyed itself in a power-hungry rush after Endor, your blind or in denial. 

 

ALso, DS, you do know it was Pallaeon who led them out after the Executor and the DSII blew up, right?  IT was basically one of those retreats out of reverence kinda things.  He did it again when Thrawn died, remember?

yes. That's why Pellaeon and the empire shall forever rox some sox. Pellaeon's like one of the best Imperial guys ever cuz he't NOT a power-hungry idiot, lol. he knows his limits and the limits of the Empire, and is wise enough not to do something utterly stupid.

 

However, no one can deny the fact that the Rebel victory at Endor was impossible, and they achieved that victory because of two evil words: plot device. Good guys have to win, even if it truly is impossible.

1. Good does always win, besides, who actually wanted the Empire to condemn the entire galaxy to a very long time of torture and toil just to please one person who is very evil?? ??

 

2. Situation. The Emporer was distracted by Luke, so no one could tell him the Rebels were right in-front of their ships and if they fired the Superlaser it would blow up Executor! And they were under orders to leave it to the DS(I think)

 

3. The Empire had some major tactic issues......

 

4. The Superlaser takes a few seconds to charge

 

Hmmm...I wonder what Silri will do with those Sith Soldiers she finds at the end of the Consortium Camapign...

The Empire overestimated the Ewoks and the Rebels. The Empire was destined to fall IMO due to its internal cutthroat nature (hence the wars between Imperial Warlords vying for power). Even Vader and Palpatine were constantly plotting each other's demise! (They each planned on using Luke to destroy the other).

it depends, if Palpatine was killed then the empire would have lost, that was palpatines mistake he was controlling all the imperial forces. maybe the empire would fight one but they would fight on like cadets, with star destroyers losing fights they should have one easily. if palpatine wasnt killed then the empire would have crushed the rebels once and for all.

Well, when you look at episode VI the only reason the rebels won was because the good guys almost always win...When in technical terms the empire should have won, they could have bombarded the surface with the SSD that was orbiting the planet, and nobody ever leaves a shield that is keeping the universes most powerful weapon safe in the hands of 20 under trained solders...

Realisticlly the battle of endor would have a somewhat differnt outcome. Luke would indeed defeat the emperor and vader, but that would be the only rebel victory at endor. The ewoks would have been slaughtered, the rebel fleet smashed like bugs on the windsheild. Storm trooper armour is supposed to deflect blasterfire. So if they can do that the armor can certainly protect them from tiny ewok arrows and rocks hitting them on the head, and tiny ewok hatchets.

stormtrooper armor can only deflect glacing shots but the point is made it would stop spears. as for rocks have you ever worn say moterbike helmet and got hit on the head with a rock or something like that. if you were hit hard enough it could knock you out. but the imperial fleet would have crushed the rebel fleet ten times over. even if some rebel fighters made it in to the death star and the 1000000 to one chance they destroy it. the imperial fleet still would have crushed them

Ive been hit in the face with a chuck of Ice the size of a grape fruit when i was in elemtary school. Sure I cried but it didn't knock me out.

Well in battle front 2 the ewoks can kill scout troopers and storm troopers with rocks, also cheesinator we arent talking abouta school kid tthrowing a rock we are talking like wookies or some other type of aliens throwing rocks too bad the dark trooper project didnt suceed.

 

 

Also the empire would have won but the emporer was thrown down the pit too bad thraw wasnt thier.

Stormtrooper armor was made to block a couple laser shots and anything with force less than that.  YOu must remeber that Lucas thinks good should win.  Star Wars ins't in anyway realistic

First off, Star Wars is based on common themes in mythology; GL was actually a student of sorts to Joseph Campbell, who studied mythology and religion and their similarities. So GL doesn't think that way; mythology thinks that way.

 

and secondly, you DON'T think good should win? ???

According to that logic, Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr. would have failed in their campaigns of Civil Disobedience against unjust practices.

In short, good wins plenty of times; you just have to look a little harder for the examples.

 

In a Young Jedi Knights book, Qoryl throws a spear at this stormtrooper with the full force of his mechanical arm's servomotors; and didn't leave a scratch. In the BOE, the Ewoks didn't have to penetrate the armor; in a couple scenes, you see ewoks strangling stormtoopers with ropes (no armor around the neck). And you don’t have to penetrate armor to damage someone’s spine.

Depends on what you mean for good. The followers of ghandi and mlk should have been simply be slouthered. They weren't because of human rights observation ect which sometimes is a stop to true justice.Of course depends on the situation. There are people which should be severed punished like pedophils and rapers.

So in a futuristic civilizatoin with space travel, lasers, and cloning they design armor with the purpose of making sure that they will be safe from rocks being thrown at them?  : Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight By that same logic that means such a civilzation such as ours that is no where advanced as that. That would mean that armor made today is made to stop.............. what's lower than rocks?............... dung. So by your logic our marines and whatnot have armor that will protect them from people flinging dung at them.  :

the principle still holds up, why in a advanced civilization would they need to protect themselves from primitive weapons when everyone in the galaxy is using blasters!?

 

It's all plot devices. Leia gets shot but she is perfectly fine. Wheras anything worse than a paper cut and storm troopers die.
