you all know the pod things in the curoscant skirmish map if u shot one they blow up YOUR ships and THE ENEMYS ships

 

 

so i looked in projectiles and i found this in the projectile the pod makes when it gets destroyed

 

400.0

3000.0

Rebel

 

ok so just put that in all projetile entrys

 

but cnahge it to be like this

Interesting.....though I don't know if it will work.

 

Best thing to try this on would be bombing runs. If it doesn't work with bombing runs it won't work with anything else. Or, you could try this with death clones; I'd love to see the mod where when a large (frigate or above size) ship explodes and all the smaller craft around it explode as well. That would be an excellent mod. ^_^

No.

That's not it.

That just stops the explosions from the pods from damaging your corvettes.

 

Friendly Fire is an entirely different matter. I know for SURE this does not work.

This is one of the reasons modding should be built into every computer game released. There is absolutely no way I would ever want this feature in my game, "BUT" I am glad we can mod things that we as individuals users want.

The reason friendly fire can't work is because the units can't hit what they can't target. So far as I can tell, it's impossible to make it so that you can target your own units. Unless you can, no friendly fire.

 

I imagine that this damage immunity entry would be involved too, but without targeting compatibility it makes little difference.

I believe that there are two components that is preventing FF:

 

1. Allied units cannot be targeted. A unit cannot hit a non targeted unit

2. Allied units are not affected by projectiles emmited by allies (as seen from area effects)

 

for number 1, I have no idea how to overcome.

for number 2, if a projectile is neutral (not belonging to any faction), the area effect can damage your own ships. We simply need to make it so projectiles for area effects are emitted by a neutral/hostile object (as seen in damaging death explosions)
