1. Spartan's Offer

2. The Petro Forums

3. Future of the community

4. Possibility of PFF Exclusivity for P-02's first news release... (I am going to contact Mike this week over it)

- Well you are on it checking it.

 

2. The Petro Forums

 

- I don't assume that they will ever have more members than we ... who knows.

 

3. Future of the community

 

- Adapt or die - its pretty simple.

 

4. Possibility of PFF Exclusivity for P-02's first news release... (I am going to contact Mike this week over it)

 

- If you get that - it will be super great.

 

One more - Evaders has no admin powers. If he needs to fix something they will be given and removed soon after. If he does another mistake - God forbids - we die instantly.

Cain, I think you really ought to calm down about Evaders. We're all human, everyone makes a mistake, and he has already apologized profusely for what he has done. Can we just focus on the here & now and figure out how to alleviate it, and prevent it from ever happening again?

 

The computer that serves this website is like any other computer, try coming home one day and your desktop just doesn't turn on? It's kind of like that.

I never claimed I wanted admin powers here. But unless JediIgor is doing script maintenance, I have no choice but to give myself admin everytime to fix such things. Its your forum, but I'm doing the script maintenance until you get someone else to do it. Just a real hassle and does not make changes harder to do.

 

Note: I was never messing with the PFF specific files. It was the entire database that got corrupted, and no - you cannot revoke my access to the server's database

You don't have to talk to me if you don't want to, but others have pointed me here. I think its easier if you talk to me directly (email or IM) if you want things done.

Igor was and is our tech admin and he remains our tech admin. What exactly is required for this script maintanance?  I think we can find someone to do it without takeing time from you - I'm sure that you are still busy as you were in the last year. As for the email (i don't have it) because you never gived it to me in the last 3-4 years same with other means of communication.

He hasn't been updating the forums versions. I had to do the latest 1.1 RC3 upgrade.

Further, I've added a PHP security system that has blocked over 3000 attempts to spam the site.

 

I'm not going to fight you on this. Not that I could reply here without admin permissions. So long as the forums are properly maintained and do not pose a security risk, I will be satisfied.

 

I hate having to change the database to do things. Besides all the cluttered forums and seemingly non-sense here, PFF isn't one forum I particular will keep actively checking. There is a reason why Petroglyph has done their own forums instead of relying on PFF (contrast with what Relic has done to support its mostly active and only forums Relicnews.com)

Until you figure out a plan to either

- revamp the forums

- make it a full website

- or do something else..

 

As you seem to have a grudge against me, I will leave it as is and let you remove said admin access once again.

As for the Petro makeing his own forums this was their community manager first plan since the Death Star site. There is nothing we can do about it.

 

Also for the forum structure - can you pls (Evaders) let us know how we can merge dsubforums? If you insist so much I will give you admin powers if you are so tehincal about it.

Evaders are you still there? You once said something about a skin - I keep thinking about it - to see if your offer was correct. Who was going to do it? And what style.

To merge the subforums, you need to actually do a mass move of all the topics in a forum.

How about Enterprise for a start and acces to the database (FTP) so I could change jifs and such. (Thanks) Also I will like to change the ST image in a SW vs ST or something more neutral.
