Well I guess the only way would be to get the enhanced SAU texture versions :) The texture file and bump map are compiled with the model that's created. - If a bump map was not included with the model you want to update originally - then adding just a bump map to the folder for that model wont work.

 

The only real way is to download models with high textures already done for them such as downloading the SAU HD Pack ?

I know - hopefully they will put them in soon :) I was unhappy with the one in the New units mod that that German Team did recently, their Dominator is ok - except that the missile shield and interdictor animations for the particle effects don't show when you enable them.

 

If its to be like the original Interdictor - you would like it to be like it wouldn't you ?  :D

Well I like the pack for the ships they have added. The right ships without any excess and well planned upgrade which don't overflow the bar. The textures should be increased to the new SAU pack level.

I'd like to merge the two.

I prefer the pack because it only adds ships and easily converted to FOC. I like SAU for other things especially land units. However I have already cut many SAU's useless things and trying to Add things in FOC. I would appreciate a team work if possible.

I like a lot of the models they did in the German conversions - but was disappointed with the Dominator. For the reason the texture was terrible - I re did that in the end and it looks a lot better now. Also the abilities don't work properly for the reasons I mentioned earlier.

 

OK, that a side the ships they added is great - and I am slowly importing them to my private mod.

 

If your having trouble with adding new units - because of space restrictions - do what I did ? - I have done what SAU did and put in different Ship building stations - and made certain ships only buildable at certain locations. - frees up a lot of room. I have split the ship building into different planets - Large ships (Capital and SSD) on places like Kuat - medium frigate size - on non capital ship planets - and Starfighters ship building on minor planets.

 

This will free up much needed space. Split them between different worlds you think appropriate for that type of ship building and only allow that world to build that type of ship.

 

Hey, Lord of The Sith - I am always willing to work on a Team for developing Private Mods - I have plenty of idea's about what we can do and have done a lot since I started mine months back.

I'm thinking I might make the starfighters totally unbuildable, and instead use space stations, capital ships, and the starfighter carriers to do it instead.

 

However, I do have a good amount of space on the bottom bar right now, so that's something.

@LOTS - I'll be in touch in the morning  ;) - Its quite late here but I am certainly interested in working with people for private mod development. We could develop a new mod combining all our idea's and modding experience we have got through what we have done so far. My current mod I called Balance of Power - its really good - I take pride on the hard work I have done on it cause its like over 800MB now.

 

I'll talk more in a PM about this with you and see what we can organise together. :)

I think the SAU models don't use death clones. They have one listed for each model, but the settings for them are basically intended to produce a big explosion and no actual wreckage. I don't think I mind though, as long as SOME of my ships leave wreckage.

This is a great mod, and I can't wait to try it out when it is released, but shouldn't the Interdictor be called the Immobililizer 418, because the Interdictor is KOTOR era, is it not?

I've recently reskinned the Dark Side adept model to look like a jedi(and hexed the dark side model for a "Jedi Model")

Stealthship is a Bayonet-class light cruiser....it was in EaW Enhanced...
