Sports are great late at night when I can't sleep (just thinking about it makes me sleepy), but other than that, I can't see how entertainment is derived from them. There's no purpose to sports except to watch vastly overpayed lunkheads run around (and a few not-so-lunkheads, but those are the minority). Like fighting other countries? They call it the World Series because Canada has a team in Major League Baseball, so it can't be the US Series. And also there are players from all around the world that play in the Major Leagues, so I guess that's why it has the name it does. Now there is a World Baseball Classic(every so often)in which every country that wants to has a team comprised of people born in that country and they go head to head.
