jedi_consulor Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 When I try to export to an ALO file 3DMax reports and error and doesnt export the model to ALO. I have only just started using this program so havent a clue with whats up. Its version 8 - I downloaded the Max plugin from the other topic I created that swfan posted but as this is a seperate problem I wanted to ask seperatly. I have tried the Plugin that comes with the map editor and the one thats on eawfiles. I can't get any of the Max ALO plugins to work. I was trying to export a model from the warlords pack. swgbex Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Use the "max 8 exporter" then extract the files from shaders.meg (they should be FXo's) then use those in 3ds max 8 rather than the standard shaders.. then export.. works fine exept for any Rskin shaders.. I am finding some parts of your tutorial confusing though concerning creating engine glows. So I am trying to work that out right now too.
